+MBFace Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 I recognise that picture - is it a permanent feature rather than a 'banner image'? If so it's congratulations to Martlakes and team for their starring role (at Shoulthwaite Shoulder) MBF Quote

+The Blorenges Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 I think that's an excellent "front page" illustration of what Geocaching's all about (IMO ). All ages can get out for some fresh air and a walk and have a bit of fun finding the "treasure" as well. And it's dog-inclusive too. Nice to see you all stepping out, Martlakes. MrsB Quote
+The Hornet Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 I think that's an excellent "front page" illustration of what Geocaching's all about But where's the lamp post hiding the micro? Quote
+The Blorenges Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 I've just logged onto the excellent new home page and was rather surprised to find myself staring back at me! The pic is of me coming out of wet undergrowth in Dusseldorf a few weeks ago doing GC172ZY Anyone else spotted themselves on the home page? Chris (MrB) Quote

Chris (MrB) It's not the only picture of your's that has been used, check out the large gallery, your picture titled 'Birdman has left the beach' is also in there. If you go to resources the bottom picture is Jack Aubrey, a prominent Scottish cacher. Quote
+The Blorenges Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 As there must be millions of gallery photos and that one of me in the bushes and the Birdman one have come up a few times they must only select a few for the banner. Flattering that two of my pics are there! Chris (MrB) Quote
+Delta68 Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Just been flicking through the banner archive. Amazing photos! They really make you want to go out there and find something worthwhile. Strangely, there doesn't appear to be any photos of roadside micros... M Quote
markandlynn Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 One of ours is in the rotation http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LU...27-7e137a62ca2e There is also one of ours used in a GC pamphlet somewhere at least i think it is ?? Quote

If so it's congratulations to Martlakes and team for their starring role (at Shoulthwaite Shoulder) MBF Funnily enough I'd spotted this when checking out the site changes - nice to have my genius with the camera recognised!! (well, maybe just one of those pics that turns out rather well!) Of course if anyone is trying to look for me at Harrogate you won't recognise me from this pic cos I was taking it! (I'm much slimmer than Dave! ) In fact there are four different families here: the adults are one family, the young people are from two other families, and the dog is from a fourth family - borrowed for the day!! It does look like one nice family outing though! Who says the camera never lies Quote
+Simply Paul Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 I noticed this one by minstrelcat from our Scilly adventure the other day. Well done to the martlakes for being immortalised- The story behind the photo makes it that bit funnier Quote
+Michael Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 While there are many pictures in the gallery we only rotate a small amount of the newest ones. Feel free to nominate a photo for the gallery if you like. Email me via my profile with the URL of the log that the photo is connected too. Not all pictures are used but I am happy to accept suggestions. Michael. Quote
+MBFace Posted November 21, 2008 Author Posted November 21, 2008 Oh well, onward and upward !!! Is this an action shot of MissJenn? Only kidding - the photo certainly does justice to a great multi-cache. MBF Quote
+MissJenn Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 I can only wish I were lucky enough to have been in such a gorgeous location! Quote
+Dorsetgal & GeoDog Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Just spotted Stuey & Ozzy, in on the rotation for the larger banner pic! Quote
+Stuey Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Just spotted Stuey & Ozzy, in on the rotation for the larger banner pic! Cheers Wendy, that's ace! Shame the log was one of my shortest ever at just two words and a smiley, oops! Quote

+MissJenn Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Well, since Stuey proposed marriage to me, I thought the very least I could do was feature him on the front banner rotation. Also, have you noticed the fluffy bunny? It's Norway and not the UK, but hey, we do what we can. Quote
+Stuey Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Well, since Stuey proposed marriage to me, I thought the very least I could do was feature him on the front banner rotation. hehe, thanks.... I am honoured Quote
+The Blorenges Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 I've been browsing the pics in the (smaller) banner gallery too: This one made me do a double-take, I thought "I recognise that isolated looking house..." "...It's Father Ted's place!" Spark ie's log for Father Ted's Tribute cache. MrsB Quote
markandlynn Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Is this where we propose pictures ? A few here including a faint little rainbow when the sun dared to show up shortly before the inevitable rain shower. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LU...e4-ee478b875eba Quote
