  1. I suspect it's to make it harder for the code to be read if it is decompiled.
  2. Yay! Setting 'Identifier" to 'targetzone' as well fixed it! Thanks
  3. I have a zone called targetzone I can display its name in a message box OK but if I try and use a function I get an error The function is just: function test() return targetzone.Name end Thanks
  4. Surely 'zone' is the variable passed as a parameter to the function.
  5. I can't get it to work either. Passing a zone to a function or referencing a zone in a funtion always errors
  6. I've copied day1976's example above, but I keep getting an error when I test it Says: attempt to index global value 'zone' (a nil value) any ideas? Thanks
  7. How do I convert a pair of lon and lat values into a point so I can get the bearing between two points? Thanks
  8. I had a set of urls for shortcuts to various searches etc and I wrote a Tampermonkey script to change the main menu links to something useful. Unfortunately, the recent change to the way the menu works has completely screwed-up my script! I don't know what was to be gained changing the menu so it is all written dynamically
  9. Is it possible to disable Markdown interpretation when editing a cache page? I included [U] in a cache description and it got converted to <u> the text instead of just displaying it Even using &#91;U&#93; got converted to a <u> tag I've change it to [ U ] now, which will suffice but I'd prefer it if the editor actually did as it was asked! Thanks
  10. 'Each month from January through October, at least 2,020 hosts will be randomly selected from those who opt-in' Is it random or are those of us who hosted a 10! Event excluded? How many cachers actually applied to host a 20 year Event? (just wondering if if worth getting my hopes up each month....) Thanks M
  11. I think you're missing the point. It's more of a privacy issue really.
  12. In order to view a cacher's profile, you have to register. However, there are no checks on the intentions of someone who registers. In case anyone is wondering, this was prompted by a nasty message sent to us my someone who registered yesterday. I have no idea who this person is and I am not happy with just everyone being able to view our stuff and we have deleted all information for the time being. Perhaps making the gallery premium member only as well would be a good idea. Thanks
  13. We logged some caches on Friday evening using one phone and they were DEFINITELY showing as found on both our phones on Saturday morning. They are now not showing as found. Likewise, about a dozen cached logged yesterday by phone are now not showing as found. Don't say they were deleted as the caches were by many different COs.
  14. I used the comments on lists a lot! It's bloomin' annoying that they have all been removed without warning.
  15. We've found done over 700 Labcaches, found over 1500 Wherigos, placed 17 original Wherigos , found over 570 virtuals, had placed caches within the revevent time period etc and still didn't seem to qualify for anything. I think we must be black-listed
  16. Looks like it might be a partnership thing.... https://mancunian1001.wordpress.com/2019/08/05/bored-this-summer-how-about-some-geocaching-fun-by-bus/ https://aboutmanchester.co.uk/stagecoach-manchester-launches-summer-geocaching-app/
  17. That's quite intersting. The Comercial content guidelines for Adventure Labs seem a lot more vague than for normal caches Lab Caches: Adventures cannot require or encourage players to pay a fee for a product, service, access, or for charitable purposes. Access to Adventures must be free for participants. Normal Caches: Cache pages perceived as commercial will not be published. Commercial content includes any of the following characteristics Overtones of advertising, marketing, or promotion Suggests or requires the finder do any of the following Go inside a business Interact with employees Purchase a product or service Name, links, or logos of the following Businesses Commercial products Competing games or cache listing services Links or logos of agencies and organizations (including nonprofit organizations), unless needed for permission This suggests that Lab Cahces DO allow advertising, marketing, or promotion.
  18. That's strange. A cacher friend of mine (who was given access to create a set) said that they have to be approved.
  19. Seeing as we have been deemed not worthy of taking part in the last two swathes of lab cache releases (or Virtual Rewards for that matter), I'd be interested to know what future plans are afoot for this type of 'cache' Are there plans to allow everyone create 'adventures' at some point in the future? Mark
  20. I was under the impression that cachers had to be offered the chance to create a set of Adventures Labs and then the caches were reviewed before being published, so I was somewhat surprised to see a set of Lab Caches placed by a bus company and encourages uses to use their own app to plan the trip!
