Haggis, Neaps & Tatties is common Scottish meal. And knowing what it's made of doesn't bother me, anymore than knowing what goes into some of those tasty sausages I like does. +Em Space Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I think I understand this. However, I've gotten stuff wrong in the past, so I want to be sure. I'm supposed to log a "Will Attend" on the cache page before the event. Then I'm supposed to go to the PSC and check out the maze. Finally, I should log that I attended the event. Right? Is there anything more to it? Will there be some way for us 'veteran' cachers to recognize one another? 'Cause so far, the only cachers I know by sight are a family member and a guy who married an old high school friend. I'd like to meet some of the Seattle crowd, though you might think I don't, since I haven't gone to any gatherings or CITOs or anything in the year I've been doing this. Quote

Actually, there's a whole lot going on this weekend and it's going to be pretty hectic and confusing for some. First, Groundspeak is hosting a 2-hour regular Event Cache this Saturday to celebrate the Maze opening. Attending that allows you to post an Attended log and get an Event Cache icon on your profile. I'm sure there will be name tags for everyone to wear...so all you'll have to do is read everyones chest to see who they are. Second, the GPS Adventure Maze opens its run at the Pacific Science Center. People who pay to go to that and complete it get to post an Attended log and get a new icon for their profile. The maze will be at PSC for a few weeks so it doesn't have to be done this weekend. So, you can potentially get 2 new icons for the events in addition to any other caches you find during your trip. Quote
+Em Space Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Thanks. I knew I was misunderstanding something. I had somehow missed that there are two different caches involved: the length-of-exhibit unique icon GCMMFN and 2-hour event GC1MMGC. It's all clear to me now. Quote
