PREFORMS

Recommended Posts

A longtime ago someone offered geocachers some free plastic preforms, like those used in bottle making. Please can anyone help me locate the forum topic or the cacher who offered them.

Was it Mrs S Baldrick's post (no.12) here http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...&hl=preform

"Another type of container I found recently as a cache was a PET bottle preform. It was a bit damp inside but it was submerged in mud and water when I found it. http://www.constar.net/markets_preforms.asp

Constar is a few miles from me! So I'll make enquiries and if they are a few pence each, I'll leave them in my finds as gifts for other cachers to take away."

I leave unpainted preforms, containing a blank log, short note about what it is and a pencil as my signature/SWAG item - 'Cache Ready To Go'.

I know someone who works at a water plant near Carlisle.....atually he and his wife are now active geocachers, and he once gave me a couple of preforms for caches, which I have used. One of my caches, GCY7ZE, has piccies of one uploaded.

I can ask him if there are any available, if you want.
