+Globetrotter.uk
It's the base product for plastic bottles if made by blow air method. Bottles ie fizzy pop bottles start life as a preform. They look like a test tube with a screw cap, hot air is forced into it and the preform then enlarges to there desired shape/size. Quote Link to comment

Please can anyone help me locate the forum topic or the cacher who offered them. Was it Mrs S Baldrick's post (no.12) here http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...&hl=preform "Another type of container I found recently as a cache was a PET bottle preform. It was a bit damp inside but it was submerged in mud and water when I found it. http://www.constar.net/markets_preforms.asp Constar is a few miles from me! So I'll make enquiries and if they are a few pence each, I'll leave them in my finds as gifts for other cachers to take away." Quote Link to comment
