Metaphor
There's a cover story article in Subaru's Drive Magazine this month -- and nowhere does it say buried treasure. The article is a pretty good overview covering a bit of the history, some of the guidelines (not rules), variations on the game and GPS technology and application... current issue of Drive Edited January 11, 2006 by Metaphor Quote Link to comment
wkhaz
I just got my copy of Subaru Drive magazine in the mail today. There is a nice article on geocaching if anyone is interested. The online version can found at http://www.drive.subaru.com/CurrentIssue.htm Quote Link to comment

Spoon!
I just bought a Subaru - haven't received a magazine yet, though! By the way PD76 - I have a Jeep, too! (Wanna buy it? ) Quote Link to comment
MissJenn
And the design of the whole article looks very good also. Yes, I agree. (except what is UP with that weirdly-pointed hand holding the Legend?) TELL SOMEONE WHEN AND WHERE YOU’RE GOING. Mom’s admonishment to “call when you get there” still applies, only it doesn’t have to be Mom. When traveling in a remote location, anything can happen, so make sure someone knows your intentions and approximate schedule. You know, I STILL forget to do this each tiem I go out. I'm gonna regret that one of these days. I mean, I carry a cell phone and all but reception is never guaranteed. By the way PD76 - I have a Jeep, too! (Wanna buy it? ) Got a link? +Team Shydog
I build Subarus and was trying to figure out how to get my company to let me borrow one of the Tribeca's from the auto pool to make the trip to GWS4 with. This sure won't hurt my cause. Quote Link to comment
the hermit crabs
I build Subarus Do you know if it's definite that this is the last year of the Baja? edit to avoid the wrath of the on-topic mods: we have a Baja with a geocaching.com sticker on the window. Log Lady
Moderators, isn't this a blatantly commercial thread with a blatanly commercial link? Is there some double-standard going on in moderator land? Not that I really care about Subarus being discussed, but if you shut down some topics that don't even link to commercial sites...I don't know....it just seems like you guys play favorites. LL I don't think anyone is selling Subarus here -- and neither is the article. It was just a good article in a magazine that had a web-link so people who didn't have have access to a print copy could read it. I'm not sure why you are so angry about it... Quote Link to comment
rjw661
I just bought a Forester and can't wait to take it caching. I didn't know I would be getting a magazine with a geocaching artical it it. Edited January 21, 2006 by rjw661 Quote Link to comment
BlueDeuce
eh, nevermind. A too thinly veiled personal attack on my part. Besides I forgot I was simply feeding the troll. Edited January 21, 2006 by BlueDeuce Quote Link to comment
