  1. Don't buy MSR. Their customer service has gone down the drain. Buy a Big Agnes!! The Seedhouse is awesome and fits everything you're looking for. I have the Sarvis SL2+ eVent and it's the best tent I've ever owned hands down. Lightweight, yet spacious and weatherproof! Check them out - they stand in front of their products. ^^ike
  2. And where did that person get the idea? All good ideas are stolen. Is the cache copywritten? Take an idea, make it your own and run with it. It's the american way. Chances are people have already seen it. Ask people that have found 1,000+ and they will tell you that even though every cache is different, they are all the same. ^^ike
  3. If you find them in a cache they are not collectable! If they are in circulation, then please keep them there. If you want to collect them, then by them or trade with people. You can buy foreign coins or any coins but expect to pay dearly for ones that are sold out. I've seen coins go for over $30 on eBay. There are so many coins made these days that it's hard to keep up. It seems like anyone and everyone has their own series of coins now. I get it if you want to put them in caches but I don't get hanging on to them and display them on your wall. What does that have to do with geocaching?? I hate when there is supposed to be a coin in a cache and someone has knicked it. ^^ike
  4. I'd like to be able to use all the features of my investment, namely the auto-routing. What should I get. How does the whole unlock code thing work. Any help would be great!! I hear one version has bigger sized maps (in mb) and one has smaller. I'd like the smaller sized maps cause I only have 56mb to work with and then I can pick and chose regions better. Metroguide? Cityselect? City Navigator? USA. Help! Thanks! ^^ike
  5. Check your memory. PQ comes zipped a lot smaller. I install all my PQ's to a memory stick. I have the same model and haven't hade a problem but have never put them directly on the PDA. A small memory stick is pretty cheap and you can load it up with all sorts of goodies. When I load 500 it takes forever! Its almost 3mb. Hope you figure it out! ^^ike
  6. I did it once. My little brother asked to use my car. He sounded suspicous and wouldn't tell me exactly where he was going. I had my GPS on and hidden it in the car with my external atteana attached. When he got home I simply looked at the tracks and could tell right where he had been. I really do trust him. It was more for fun and to see if I could do it. ^^ike
  7. I'm 23 and everyone looks at me because of my dashing good looks and bow staff skills. ^^ike
  8. I did read it but I'm much more interesting in that new Subaru hybrid! ^^ike
  9. I think there's one in Bear Lake ^^ike
  10. I have one by a popular climbing place. Once a climbed found it, signed the log and left a chunk of beef jerky... ^^ike
  11. Thanks for supporting my lazy habit. That's what I figured and question answered. Thanks ^^ike
  12. My younger brother has gone to many premium member caches with me. He isn't a premium member but still wants to log them online. Should I just pay the $3 once so he can log them or is there another option? Thanks ^^ike
  13. I have a Sony Clie, they stopped making them last year but are identical to the palm. Mine's color high-res screen, 16mb, sony memory stick compatible, lithium battery and works great! It was pretty cheap and I haven't looked back. ^^ike
  14. You have to look at why this do this. For once a software company has gotten smart and is actually make sure their fine software isn't ripped off. More companies should get with the program. This is one of the few ways to make sure one has to really buy the product to use it. For those of you complaining about it, for once you can blame piracy. ^^ike
  15. One of my friends has a huge Ford 350. He parks it where ever he wants, I mean where ever. Pulls up on sidewalks downtown, on the side of any road, whatever. He says his cars looks official and no one questions it. Did you see that movie, "Catch Me If You Can?", the dad goes to the bank, has his son wear a nice suit and open the car door. He looks official and the bank manager comes on opens the door for them. When people ask my what I'm doing while caching, I'll sometimes make up a story saying I'm doing something important and others times I'll tell them what I'm really doing. I love the sneaking around part and don't feel guilty. ^^ike
  16. There we go, personalized and trackable geocache containers. Everyone will want a FlyfishermanMike ammo box. ^^ike
  17. ROTFL Iv'e seen the size/weight of some of those coin bags at the events. Somehow, it really wouldn't surprise me to see that happen. Friv what about one of these 'coins' its a manhole cover. some were sold on e.... That's awesome - we've got those laying around all town. No one will miss them right? Shipping would kill you though. ^^ike
  18. I think this is the thread Benchmark Geocoin Of course I stole the idea. All great ideas are stolen. It was more of a joke, making fun of those paying $30+ for a single coin on eBay or everyone that seems to have an endless supply of cash to mint all these crazy coins. I'm glad someone took it seriously. Wouldn't it be awesome at your next coin meeting to have someone pull out a big 4 inch, 2 pound benchmark and say, "want to trade?" ^^ike
  19. Brasstown Bald, 4,784 above sea level. My house is higher than that. ^^ike
  20. I've seen it done and have done it. There is a cache around here called, "Build your own nano" or something like it. It's a traditional sized cache full of stuff to use for smaller caches. Very cool. ^^ike
  21. That's because all the big, popular mountains are on the west cost. ^^ike
  22. I haven't heard of one but is there one around? I would subscribe but would there be enough intested for one. Even if it was an online newsletter. Stories, GPS reviews, you know. ^^ike
