I am new to Geocaching but very involved now but I have been using digital cameras for years. Just think CHEAP. Any thing with 2m or more will give you a decent picture. Geocaching is an outdoor sport which means you will eventually drop it, get it wet and dirty ect. Think small for mobility and cheap for economics. Hope this helps. Have fun and Good Hunting !

Hi, I have a Magellan Meridian Color. Have enjoyed unit with no problems but will an external antenna increase the performance enough to warrant the price of the purchase and does anyone know where the antenna plugs in. I use an external power source in conjunction with a Magellan swivel mount which makes things very convenient, would an external antenna interfere with this ? All comments would be appreicated. Hi Carl, I don't have an anwser for your problem but I have a question regarding your unit. I to have a MeriColor and have been thinking about an External Antenna. I haven't really had a problem but does it increase the performance that much ? and just exactly where does it plug in on the unit ? Can I use the antenna and an external power source at the same time. Thanks Michael P
