(Thanks James) OMG! ... that's a keeper, an image of the Wicked Witch of the Old Iron Bridge. Scared me silly, no wait, I've always been silly I'm often told. What a way to start the wrapup of 2010. Where are you? ... more hills of course. No doubt placing another cluster of pester-Harmon hides. As it is I'm behind in my quest to score all of my namesake hides. Got to get going this week to clear that cluster near the Old Iron Bridge. It will be my first chance to use my new PDA that can be read in bright sunshine. Problem is that you and the other 4wd devotees are trying to kill me. Well, them and Sue of The Fat Cats who's been double-teaming me. Long trails that you 4wd creeps keep putting together are going to be the death of my aged legs and feet. Sure, I've got 4wd in Ebbie May but pinstriping and runny-board damage has put me at the brink of serious trouble with my sweet bride. So feet it is ... (stop laughing.) Now tell me the story of that editing job ... I dread learning that the Wicked Witch of the Old Iron Bridge has taken up image editing as a personal activity. So who's the rascal that did th' deed? Yeah, sure, I noticed of course... that rascal James is at it again. Wouldn't you just know it ... the Wicked Witch of the Old Iron Bridge and her sidekick the Scarecrow in cahoots to nullify poor ol' Harmon. Yikes! Wickedly Witched! +SD Rowdies Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 (edited) And now my Over the Rainbow childhood story about Oz. At age four my parents dropped me off in front of the Paramount Theatre in Abilene, Texas. I had a dime in my hand and used it for a ticket to see the Oz movie during the time of it's nationwide release. All went well until they doused the Wicked Witch and she melted. ... scared me silly and so I ran from the theatre all the way back across railroad tracks to the Abilene Hotel where we lived for a short while. Time passed ... in 1943 my stepdad was assigned as the commanding officer of an tiny army post situated in The Village of Rancho Santa Fe. We lived in a five-room servant's quarters of a Rancho Santa Fe mansion just north of the lake. On an adjacent hilltop just east of our house lived the family of Shirley Temple Black. Unfortunately she was too old to attend the little two-room elementary schoolhouse in The Village, now the fire station; however, I often saw and admired her from afar. My brush with fame? Nope, but there I was quite near the gal that melted the Wicked Witch. Nowadays it's the fad to call such an experience a "closure." At least I triggered a new log entry for this thread, point being that I've drawn at least one entry away from Facebook. I can also say with certainty that the facts in my little tale are completely true because I wrote them myself. In this case, point being that Shirley Temple is the closest I ever got to Judy Garland; if y' get my drift. Love it, Harmon Edited December 28, 2010 by SD Rowdies Quote
