Luckily for everyone on MY e-mail list, I don't think there are any nude or semi-nude pictures of me floating around out there...

What about those Yrium misprints... :anibad:

Hmmm... Good point...

Hee-hee-hee! James, you are blessed with a devious mind.

You know, it seems to me that the image in question once

made an upstage appearance on one of our local Forum

threads.

The more I think about you, James, I realize that you must

have Kindelled "The Picture of Dorian Gray." I see you as

Lord Henry Wotton.

Say, anybody know what happened to that o' gal named Jodi?

And what about that other ol' gal named Janie?

And that snake-charmer Denise?

O yeah, that countrified ol' gal, what about Denice?

Hmm, how 'bout that sweet ol' gal Barrie, what about her?

And th' bony one, Barbara, while y're at it?

And a bunch of other ol' gals too?

My gosh I shore do miss them ol' gals. 'Cept for that ugly cross-dresser.

Excuse me for living but I never read it. I do remember the episode of Get Smart with the dorian gray paint, though.

Lord Henry Wotton seems to the a rather complex character. Difficult to get a handle on him just from reading Wikipedia. Can't figure out if I'm being complimented or insulted here...

Incidentally, Sir Henry Wotton (not the one from Dorian Gray) was a diplomat who served King James I of England. He is quoted as having said "An ambassador is an honest gentleman sent to lie abroad for the good of his country."

I shore have missed you, too, ol' buddy! Truth is ... I've been out practicing doing it more. Mainly, I've been doing it in the day time (between my school bus routes). So now, by the time I get home, I'm worn out from doing it so much. I think I've already done it 16 times today, but I might have lost count.

So I recommend that you Kindle Dorian Gray ... a freebie as I recall.

You'll see what I mean about your similarity to Lord Wotton in that

he always knew just what to say to keep a conversation lively.

Oddly enough Dorian Gray was really into images in a serious way.

In the story we see the precursor of self-editing images or, shall we

say, animation? In "The Picture of Dorian Gray" we see the seed of

resistance to image alteration ... a Photoshop antagonists so to

speak.

Hmm, on Kindle, is it really a book?

The one thing I do miss with an eReader is the physical manifestation of

a book's size and heft. A progress-bar and a percentage value leaves that

sense-of-size behind for me ... every "book" being the same physical size

on an eReader. Well, not so if in megabytes I suppose.

Saying goodbye to page numbers and to a favored bookmark, I'm still thinking

those issues over.

Still, Sandy presented a Kindle to me as a 76th birthday present ... since it

arrived on December 15th I've checked-off ten classics from the "Waterstone's

Top 100 books of the Century" list; last century of course. Now I'm in the

mid-twenties of the list ... at this rate I'm not sure that I'll clear the list before

I cross the river.

Yes, Lord Watton takes the view that the unexpected is an

essential spice of life. His outlook reminds me of so many

of our local Geocachers.

Taking things as they come can be a useful approach ...

not naming any names but that approach served me well

on that fateful day of the Otay Mountain slashing incident.

I clearly recall my first utterance ... "Oboy, we're having

fun now!"

"Not being being talked about," ... what a horrible thought.

By the way, have you heard that I had to disable

fourteen Geocaches yesterday, seven of them being

spanking new?

How tragic is that ... poor ol' Harmon trudging

through remote areas to spread the joy of Geocaching

and having his meager efforts struck down on the very

same day that he placed seven of the hides?

Thats o.k., don't worry about poor-old-Harmon ...

*** FAIR WARNING ***

I finally took the plung and placed an order

for Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended. Of course

that will result in 3D effects being added to

posted images. It was shipped yesterday so

do stand by for results soon. Bwah-hah-hah!

Harmon do you miss me? I bought a broom but I think I forgot how to fly.......

Jodi,

Yes indeed I miss you, especially last night while

at Civic Theatre enjoying "Wizard of Oz." Imagine

who I thought of as the Wicked Witch of the West

screamed and did her meltdown scene on stage.

So my question is ... are you doing well? Without

you I don't get picked on very often and certainly

never picked on with such indearing expertise as by

you.

On the other hand the fact that you've moulded my

name into a staple of cache-titles I've received

more and more inquiries from newbies asking about

local Geocaching activities, equipment, and lore.

Thanks a lot for the recognition Jodi darlin',

Sweet ol' Harmon

DUDE I like it that would be a cool coin thanks.

Couldn't resist ... you seem like

such a diamond-plate kinda guy.

But what about this ... ?

Jodi shielded

Just having some fun with Photoshop CS5 Extended.

Started with a boring shield-image found on the

Internet, reworked the field and banner of the

shield graphic to show Jodi, and then derived the

metallic extrusion texture from a photo I shot

of a piece of aluminum foil. The background is

just a standard Photoshop stained-glass-texture

effect. Ain't Jodi a lovely ol' gal?

Looks like we can take it up a notch on tee-shirt

graphics amd Yrium cards from now on ... once Jodi

sells out of existing stock. Buy a tee from Jodi,

that poor ol' gal is left holdin' th' bag to some

extent.

Honk if you know where this is.

Honkity, honk, honk, honk!! Good on ya, Harmon, for doing the full monte out there!! That hike almost killed me!! And you didn't even warn me this time!!

It looks like it almost killed Harmon too. <_<

Let me say it this way ... I slept in this morning.

However, I'm up now and doing my manly-man chores.

Thing is that Mother Nature made the steps too tall

going up through the bouldering section. Trying to

keep pace with Joe and John made a difference as well.

Made me feel good to read that a renowned high-country

hiker, namely FlagMan, had some pain doing that last

section of the climb.

We've been Chuyed! ... that's all there is to it. Truth

is I had a delightful day along that high trail with my

pals Joe and John.

Snakes seem to be a recurring theme this month. I think I'm done with finding snakes near caches already this year.

Yes, lots of rain means lots of grain means

lots of little critters means lots of snakes.

So here's the one thing I ask, please take

and post lots of snake pictures this year.

Keep in mind that rattlesnakes most often

warn you when you get too near them and it

isn't in a rattlesnake's interest to strike.

After all, snakes are out there just minding

their own business.

On the trail look ahead of your progress and

if off-trail through high oats and grass ...

walk well-behind a hiking companion with your

camera at the ready.

Uh-oh, my end is near ... bad enough that John and Joe served

as my litter bearers one day last week below El Cajon Mountain,

that mere days later I tromped nine miles into the Sycamore
