James, Thanks for not sharing pal, some wounds are beyond the norm. Bad enough we saw a photo of Baldy and Goldilocks side-by-side in a hospital bed after their little brain-surgery and triple-bypass thingy. Got to pick up my refills on Wednesday so I'll have another three empty med' bottles to hide somewhere. There's a word I learned as a boy by sneaking into Roller & Healer revival tents ... that word is Heal! Yo James, heal! Come t' think about it I snuck into a lot of Bible-belt tent shows but to be honest I didn't do it to learn new words ... it was all about seein' sweaty women in a state of rapture. Don't laugh, it was way better than Facebook. Don't tell anybody that I shared this. Harmon SD Rowdies Edited November 15, 2010 by SD Rowdies Quote

Harmon Note to Self: Sue thinks she can ignore this but that won't work. I am very happy to hear that both James and Harmon are healing nicely! You're both most deserving of quick recoveries from your recent encounters with sharp objects. Harmon, you did a fine job warning everyone of my switchblade-wielding antics of a week ago...no one let me anywhere near a knife the entire campout! Skillet asked us to take a garbage bag over to the rangers' station, and when I asked him for a knife to cut the tie wrap holding it to the post--oh, you should have seen the look he gave me!!! I could see images of bloody appendages and weeks of rehab flashing through his mind. Needless to say, he grabbed a hammer and ripped the tie wrap apart himself. And the First Responder tells no lies--he came through again, deftly plucking a bloody intruder from my foot, which he then threw back into the desert. I agree with 'Ol Eleven Fangers, the Iron Horse needs proper advertising on its doors. Quote

I agree with 'Ol Eleven Fangers, the Iron Horse needs proper advertising on its doors. Sue, It sure pleases me to have formed a blood-bond with The Fat Cats. Much later during that blood-letting day I realized that I had overlooked an important medical procedure that could have shortened my recovery by half. How dumb was I? As a youth I learned that there's one sure way to quickly cure an open wound by having a dawg lick it. Looking back on the incident I realized too late that Chelsea was resting in your Jeep and would have, I'm sure, been willing to serve as my Second-Responder. 'Course she would have needed a bowl t' handle th' flow. Worse yet I should have tipped LLOT off about the medicinal benefits of a dawg-lick. Too late now, James will just have to heal slowly the new fashioned way using clean-wipes and bandages. So sorry James. One thang for sure, now that the word is out on your pocket-sized Ginzu knife local Geocachers will be much safer. That's a good thang. Hmm, there's a trend here ... you always seem to be at the scene when Geochicks are on th' move. Oh you have no idea. LOL We're out in the desert. We're at a cache on cross over trail, the farthest trail North in Ocotillo Wells, and Durt, W9Jim and Chuck B pull in. W9Jim goes "Boy, you run some real low air pressure in your rears or do you have a flat?" A quick look back and yeah it's real low. So we pull out into the flat trail. I put Snflwr into the drivers seat and have her pull the jeep forward as I inspect the tire. Seeing no punctures I lay down behind the jeep and have her drive FORWARD reminding her not to let it roll Backwards. Sure enough I find the offender in the back side of the tire. So break out the jack and tool kit. And "The Perp" decides she absolutely has to learn how to use the jack. Oh did I mention it's me and five geo-chickies? TFC's SNFLWR, and Sparks n Smalls. So up pulls the previously mentioned three and I'm standing there as "The Perp" is throwing all her weight into this jack. And I'm just like embarrassed that I'm letting a woman jack my jeep and just standing there. But NOOOOO she had to do it. And did it quite well. She then learned how to use GASP sharp instruments to ream and plug a tire. Sorry Harmon she's now even more equipped to inflict harm with a whole new series of tools. Quote

Skillet, Thanks pal, now I have what's fashionably called closer on a t-shirt graphic. Back when I was a boy they hadn't invented "closure," so folks used another approach called "Get over it." Nowadays one must find closer while being proprely hydrated and while Tweeting I suppose. Seriously, does this look like a woman that would Tweet? Hey Jodi, y' done good on those tees. Thanks to you that graphic is restored and in our public domain. Have I ever mentioned that you are on my "Awesome Women" list? Note to Self: That should boost my social-capital by nine or ten points. Edited November 21, 2010 by SD Rowdies Quote

+Let's Look Over Thayer Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Selling and wearing. Dang! I've been so wrapped up in my own brand of misery (which not only involved knives, but also saws) that I forgot all about the SD Geocachers Revival T-shirt. I have this vague thought that I might have committed to buying one...(it seems so long ago now...) Any leftovers (hopefully in an XL)? Quote
