Gee . . . I thought it was immediate. I submitted the payment through PayPal and that was it . . . I think.

I used the Mastercharge and I was setup within an hour, even though it said CC orders take longer.

 

I guess it was longer than immediate.

 

Hope you typed in your user handle and email correctly.

I think ours got set up the same day, but it was later in the day, as the offices are on the west coast, and therefore three hours behind us.

You should get the email reply pretty quickly. You might check to see if your spam filter snagged it.

Seems mine went thru paypal and it took a couple of days. Of course it seemed to be a longer time.

i did it through Groundspeak and they updated it the next day they were in the office..

When I did it, it only took about 10 minutes for me to get the email. Of course, that was in September.....

PayPal is automated. Signal's Corner Store takes some manual work to upgrade your membership. On weekdays it will happen between 9-5 Pacific. On the weekends it will be infrequent on Saturday/Sunday or definitely on Monday.

I paid by check and it took about six weeks, but that was three years ago. It sounds like they've improved service since then.

I paid by credit card. I received an automated reply almost immediately acknowledging receipt, and an email the next day saying my premium account was active.

 

The only thing is, it really isn't active and I still show up as a basic member. I sent in an inquiry, but it hasn't been answered yet. I'll let you know when it finally kicks in, but evidently there are still problems.

I looked into this. Your email only arrived 21 hours ago. Please give us at least a couple of days before you're disappointed with customer service. We get hundreds of emails a day and each one takes a few minutes to respond to.

 

Your email address was associated with another account which was upgraded. Either the username was missed on the order or it wasn't there. Either way your membership has been swapped to the account you used in this topic.

My apologies if I seemed impatient or critical. That was not my intent. I do realize that you receive many emails a day and it takes time to respond to everyone. I've always been awed by what gets done with geocaching, especially when you consider how much work is being done by volunteers.
