  1. I believe the ET Highway has been Archived by request of the State of Nevada for safety concerns. You may want to check into it..
  2. Wow, I have to get me a couple of these. And the pig spins! how cool is that.
  3. Dispatcher Does that count? Husband is a Fire Fighter?
  4. Our new Mac has only USB ports, Any idea of what software we can use to down load our caching lists to our Map 60CS
  5. Where do I cast my vote for this feature?
  6. Ah, Everything came in the Mail today....... Thanks for all the replies and helpful information....
  7. As of today, We are still waiting for word on our orders also. Tried Oakcoins.com, but it will not let us into the site and their E-Mail address isn't working either.. We ordered on March 30,2007. anyone else having the same problem. We did use Paypal for the order....
  8. got it in the mail from gc.com Well, either you are entering the wrong tracking number, or someone managed to grab away the wrong bug, or gc.com issued another tag with the same number. Considering that this bug has done some traveling...hmmm, well grabbing it away isn't going to help. I'm going to turn this over Eartha. In all honesty let's hope you are entering the wrong number, that way it can be easily fixed and you get a UFD to start out. Check for things like 0 vs O, 1 vs L etc. Sorry if I'm sounding rude, the alternative could mean you don't have a workable bug. I'd rather get that one in your hands and on the move. No, not sounding rude at all, There is only one number in the bug and that is a 6. No "o or 0 " either.. I am stumped.... When we originally received the bug, about a month ago, it said to activate the bug on the GC.com bug site. We never go around to doing it until now....OOOOps....

  10. Oh ok, If you go to the bug page you'll see: Use TBxxxxx to reference this item. Could you provide that? I'd like to look at the TB. TB1BWN5
  11. As this is a gc.com sponsored promotion the travel bug is already activated. You just 'grab' the bug to put it into your inventory. Simply access this page http://www.geocaching.com/track/ Enter in the tracking code printed on the tag. Access the bug page and under type of log select “Grab it” to put it into your inventory. If you are having trouble logging it, first make sure that the 0s are not Os and the Is are not 1s. If that doesn't work for you, send an email with both the tracking number on the tag, and the TB number on the page (if you have it) to contact@Groundspeak.com and put "U4D TB tracking# problem" as your subject line. I entered the tracking number on the TB that was sent to me, and it comes up as being in someone elses hands from a far away cache..
  12. Ok, call me dense, I received my U4D travel bug. Now, any ideas on how to activate it.... Any help would be nice. We tried on the travel bug page, but it keeps asking for a activation code. what activation code....

  16. the note left was rather rude. If you have a personal issue with this cacher don't you think it best to contact them in a more civil tone rather than call them out in public. I think your intent was to make them look bad all you accomplished IMO is to make yourself look bad. Let it go for awhile. Delete the nasty gram and when you've calmed down try to email them with an apology for your behavior and ask them in a nice way to release it.
  17. Nevamind I found out how to use Paypal without getting an account.
  18. Sounds like you need to virus scan I doubt this is because of GSAK.
  19. I had the same problem with my serial port. I checked the bios and device manager no problems. I tried rebooting and reconnecting the device. Solution I used that worked, I deleted the COM1 in my device manager and rebooted. Windows corrected the issue and it works fine now. Don't use my solution unless your willing to take a risk. Deleting things out of the device manager isn't always good.
  20. Requested permission to place a cache in Cook County IL Forest Preserve Response I received: Geocaching is discouraged at the District. In the past, geocaching activities on our lands have included digging up land or otherwise disturbing it. In these cases, geocaching is not allowed, as the District asks its visitors to leave the lands undisturbed. In the rare case that the object to be found are above ground, if it is not removed or taken immediately by the person who left it there, it is considered littering. The bottom line is the District neither permits or has an application process for such activities. Thanks. C.
