+g-people
It was great fun! Thanks for the race Xy and the great cache Navz! I had hoped to get some local caching in today but this is the only one I managed. I ended up getting called into work Hopefully that doesn't happen tomorrow or I won't get my new hide done.....it won't be a puzzle! Quote Link to comment

+Blue J Wenatchee
I am getting a little nervous. We have had a couple of good hides in the valley in the last week or so but things have been too quiet regarding the Gadgets2. I get a little scared when Gene gets quiet and goes into the shop. I got to Down by the River about 2:30 in the afternoon. How late was I from being FTF? It was a good hide by the river but I didnt get a chance to look around alot. I was betweeen flights and had a real short amount of time to look. Talk to you all later. Blue J Quote Link to comment

+Mr. Gadget #2
On a different thread, I have read that the 2006 Washington State coins will have each chapter submit thier own design. I see that Moun10Bike has sent Patudles some designs to look at and appearently something has been submitted already. The Navigatorz states he does not recall seing any art work from our chapter. I have not seen designs or heard any recent talk about it either. Has this coin design been side tracked? How much time do we have (as members of the chapter) to meet the Spring deadline? RWW states that he can not give a date or a time when they will be out but he does mention "Spring". Well Spring is only 9 weeks away. This does not leave us very much time to be dilly dally around. Seems like I may have been a bit out of place asking for this kind of information on this thread. Ms. WD I forgot to answer you! I'll tell you this so you get an idea of what happens when a small animal gets bit. My cat got bit by a rattlesnake this summer. We're not sure when he was bit, because he had snuck out of the house the day before (he's strictly indoors). But we found him on the porch, and he was acting a bit slow. After around a half hour, his face was getting visibly swollen, and we saw that he had a puncture mark in his forehead. At first we thought maybe he was in a cat fight (after he had been healed, we could see the other puncture mark). But after an hour or so, his face almost seemed to slide off of his skull bones. It was horrible. I didn't get a picture of the worse, it was so awful. We took him to the vet, and they said that you could try steroids, which sometimes works, and it's cheap. But this was in the face, so they said that wouldn't work. They were worried about him even living with the antivenom. To give you an idea, my cat is around 14 pounds. We gave him the antivenom, and the whole thing cost about 600 dollars. We picked him up the next day, and he acted perfectly normal like nothing had happened. Before taking Jonesy to the vet: After coming back from the vet: Where he got an iv. Funny enough, our other strictly outdoor cat is such a good mouser, that he's actually killed a rattlesnake. From what they said, in the body seems not too bad, but the face was a bit iffy. The scary thing is they only get a couple cases a year, and if it's been a bad year they might not have antivenom right on hand. When we went, they had to check thier stores to make sure they had it. +Ambrosia
Ambrosia your cat is beautiful-sorry about your experience! Thanks! I'm glad you think he's beautiful, even though those pictures were of him sick. So here's my favorite picture of him: Now that I think about it more, just to finish the story, I realize that he wasn't normal after he came home from the vet. He acted a little slow and mentally out of it (kinda like shock?) for a while, maybe 2 weeks? And his fur got dull and ragged looking. But then he got better, and is fine now. Quote Link to comment
+Mr. Gadget #2
More milestones are falling for the Cache-cadains. The Navigatorz call me and said he found a new cache on the WET SIDE and this was his 100th FTF, Not only that he is setting himself up for his 1500 cache find when he leaves for Austria at the end of this next week. We will have to look for the cache the chooses while abroad. 100 FTF is quite an accomplishment in itself. Good Job Nav. The word is out that Patudles has logged her 1600 find this weekend while caching in the Tri-Cities with the CPR team of "Chicks Kick Butt". Great job Tudles! Also, Congrats! to Patudles on 1600!! Now 2000 doesn't seem so far away does it? Quote Link to comment
