  1. I taught geocaching at a scout leader training down in Yakima yesterday. What fun!
  2. Dropping in to say hello after a long absence from caching.
  3. The way I first found out about the cache site was from hunting there for years. This will be the 2nd and last weekend of modern rifle deer season. Expect to see several hunters along the way. This is a gorgeous time of year to be there but wear a blaze orange vest. You can borrow one of mine if you'd like.
  4. I apologize if this was already posted here, but I saw this over on the milestones page: Way to go Birdy(s)
  5. Option 3 sounds longer than it really is. I've done it on my bike several times. It isn't the knee killer it would seem for the downhill because it is spread over a long distance. I was at Beehive on Sunday and didn't see snow. I know the upper trailhead is a bit higher than the lake, but not by much. I've found the caches in question, so I won't be joining y'all, but it sounds like fun! Arguing for the top to bottom route: all downhill, 2 caches, and finally, but maybe most important, the views are awesome. Doing the bottom to Center of WA doesn't allow you to look down on anything. It is just a walk through the forest.
  6. Congrats Nav! Cool story about the lost and found GPS. Do you know where you left it, or was it dropped somewhere alon the way?
  7. Whoops! Forgot to congradulate Mr Gadget as well. Woohoo!
  8. Congrats to the G People!! Greetings all. I keep seeing all these new caches pop up and keep thinking I need to get out and find some of them.
  9. Thanks XY, but there is one who has done greater things than I. This person hid 5 today. WOW!! OK, fine, so I was wrong. Gadget is the king. So sue me. We appreciate you both.
  10. Nav is the king! 3 new caches in a day!
  11. Congrats to K-Ddid on # 500. Golly! You could've chosed an easier 500th. Glad you had fun.
  12. Whenever I get an itchy trigger finger and shotgun is the weapon of choice, I head out to the local gun club and try my hand at trap or skeet. They usually don't charge more than $3 or $4 for a 25 shot round, and you don't have to worry about throwing the targets or leaving unsightly broken clay pigeons all over creation. Most will welcome non members if you show up on shooting night with a smile on your face. I'd check the yellow pages.
  13. Well, some have found it. I DNF'd and haven't been back. Now I'm without my good GPS. Turns out the folks at Magellan overstate their claims as to their product being 1. WATERPROOF and 2. FLOATING. Turns out mine was neither.
  14. As soon as Mr. Gadget offers to take me out 4-wheelin with him (ATV style). I've been patiently waiting for the invite. I got to go with him ATV style. Raring to go again.
  15. Wow! Way to go everyone! it was less than 3 months ago we were congratulating K-Ddid for 300. Congrats to Max-X, BlueJ and G-people too!
  16. After a long drought, I found 4, didn't find one, and hid one today. I used a pretty poor container, so if any of you are going for FTF, let me know, and I'll pass you a better container. It is just past Patudles' How Enchanting cache.
  17. Well done Nav on completing all of the pages, and if my sources are correct, on finding the cache as well. And Congrats again Toodles on Really finishing the pages this time. both of you did a truly fine job.
  18. Were out for dinner last night with All41 and he told me that one of his Wenatchee River Rafting caches was found the day before. Big Deal! Except that it was found in Vantage, having floated down the Wenatchee River and probably 20 or 30 miles of the Columbia. It even had to go over Rock Island Dam to get to Vantage. What is even more amazing is that it was found by a cacher who signed the log, logged the find, and is mailing the cache back to the owner. Read the log here.
  19. Congrats to Nav on the milestone and to Patudles for completing the hard part (all of the pages) of the WDC. Get well Ccmin, and G-people, don't get too frustrated by a few negative comments. We all think you're great.
  20. I submitted 44 Fort Okanogan and Chief Joseph (not on the list, but it looks like it is on the map just north of Grand Coulee (which I couldn't find)) today.
  21. Hid my May hide on Thursday. Set up the cache page last night and it is in the approval queue even as we speak. South side of Blewett Pass.
  22. Way to go! Which cache did you get it at?
