+papageorgia
I'm relatively new to the sport and I see the terms cash cache. What are the rules of etiquette concerning finding one of these? Do you take the cash? What do you leave to replace it? Quote Link to comment
+Imajika
I found a 'Where's George' dollar in one the other day. I took the dollar and left a brand new pack of Air Force playing cards. I then logged the dollar on the WG website and used it this morning to buy a Mountain Dew. That's usually about all the cash you are gonna find in a cache...with the exception of foreign coins...and sometimes people will put silver dollars or other collector coins in caches. There is no million dollar cache out there. At least, not yet. I haven't even seen one with more than 2 or 3 'Where's George' dollars in it. Quote Link to comment
+SBPhishy
I had a where's george 20 dollar bill as a FTF prize in a cache I found. It was bitchin'. Quote Link to comment
+ohgr
International Booty Is a Local cache for me in SoCal. It's a foreign coin cache. When we found it people seemed to have been sticking with the theme, so we pretended like we hadn't found it, and will go back when we have some "International Booty" to leave. +briansnat
A lot of geocachers here trade wheresgeorge bills. Sometimes you'll find 5-6 bills in a cache. They are my favorite trade item to take. Find two caches and you paid for your lunch. Quote Link to comment

Didn't think there was a choice! Quote Link to comment

+sept1c_tank
This cache contains only money. This micro had at least $14 (no George bills) at one time. As the FTF at an event cache, I netted 55 sacagewa gold dollars. Quote Link to comment

+1setter
It is a gold colored dollar with Sacajewea's picture on the front and an eagle on the back. I keep one in my pocket. BTW, my wife works in a bank and when they see a wheresGeorge dollar, they consider them damaged and send them in to the federal reserve to be destroyed. Quote Link to comment

Whats a sacagewa gold dollar ? http://www.coinfacts.com/silver_dollars/sa..._sac_dollar.htm They're pretty common out here as trade items and there's even a cache that started out filled with them. A lot of vending machines that take $5 bills return them instead of a pile of quarters. If you're visiting a Lewis & Clark cache you might as well bring a couple along as easy to find theme swag. +evergreenhiker!
I put ten bucks for the first finder of my Gem Cache. I figured they could grab a cold beer and some food after a long hike. Once I found a 15 dollar REI gift card...cool! Few other restuarant gift cards too...value is usually about 10 bucks or so. Quote Link to comment
