+Criminal Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 What sort of geocaching rumors have you heard? Jeremy selling the site? NFS banning caches? CoAdmin going to navicache? Post them here so that Seattle can debunk them.
Jomarac5 Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 CO Admin is going to Navicache? I didn't know that. ***** Geo 94DY
+Criminal Posted December 10, 2003 Author Posted December 10, 2003 It's a rumor! Gossip, nothing more....
+sept1c_tank Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 I heard Keystone Approver has a secret identy.
+SylvrStorm Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 I heard that there was soon going to be a new type of cache, called a "Biocache". It involves implanting a tiny GPSr+transmitter unit into a person/frog/hamster. This unit continually tracks the location of the biocache and transmits the coords to GC.com using cell phone technology. The cache page is updated every few seconds, showing the biocache's current location. To log the cache, you must find the person/frog/hamster and buy them a beverage of their choice, at which point they will provide a password enabling you to log a find. The only thing holding this up is the question of whether the cache hider must be the biocache, or will hiders be allowed to implant biocache units into unsuspecting geomuggles, thus attracting a larger population to our activities. +briansnat Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 I heard Woodster is really Criminal's sock puppet account.
+woodsters Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 Well there's the old rumor that Criminal is actually Jeremy!
+woodsters Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 You got that wrong BrianSnat I'm your "sock Pupper" account... Byut criminal would be a good alter ego, eh?
+Sparky-Watts Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 I heard Woodster is really Criminal's sock puppet account. And I heard that Criminal is really CO Admin's sock puppet account!
+Criminal Posted December 10, 2003 Author Posted December 10, 2003 Well there's the old rumor that Criminal is actually Jeremy! What? Over here I'm accused of being Travis' brother. You're all my brothers, OK? I hear Woodsters has never really been outdoors! He's nothing but a pulsating brain living in a vial of greenish liquid!
Keystone Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 I heard Keystone Approver has a secret identy. That, sir, is a matter between me and my dressmaker.

He's nothing but a pulsating brain living in a vial of greenish liquid! Let's see i'm "pulsating" and your "throbbing"...yeah I guess we are brothers...well at least "Brothers with different mothers"...lmao
+woodsters Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 Criminal, remember the beginning of this thread? Go down to where BrianSnat states the fact!
+Team Og Rof A Klaw Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 (edited) I heard a rumor that one of the admins approved a new virt, shortly before the black helicopters arrived from Bellevue... Edited December 10, 2003 by Team Og Rof A Klaw
+CYBret Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 The Geocaching.com website emits a whistle that only dogs can hear. The govenment is lacing ammo cans with LSD to make them more addictive. That Mikey kid from the Life cereal commercial was killed when he mistook a pipe bomb for a geocache. Gladware is a viable substitute for Rubbermaid containers The government has a huge geocache hidden in the Nevada desert If you pull up the geocaching website on your laptop, then dip your laptop in a tub of lukewarm water, the screen will mysteriously turn black. If you read Hydee's signature line backwards it says "Jeremy is dead."
+pnew Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 I heard... that 9key just saved a whole bunch of money on his car insurance by switching to Geico... A 15 minute call could save you... nevermind
+Marky Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 I heard ju66l3r was starting his own geocaching site.
+Team Og Rof A Klaw Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 Here are some rumors about NJAdmin's true identity...
+joefrog Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 I heard Keystone Approver has a secret identy. That, sir, is a matter between me and my dressmaker. ROFL!
+Divine Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 They say that Criminal can't catch a bunny in the forest when he needs an equivalent for toilet paper.
ju66l3r Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 I heard ju66l3r was starting his own geocaching site. "Rumors of my site's existance or non-existance are highly exaggerated!" To borrow from Twain. In honesty, I'll debunk this one. My thread is not even a divining rod for whether I could float a new site equal to GC.com. I don't have the time, even when I'm not doing research for my PhD (all 3 hours of the day....that I spend here anyways). I want to see and display the feasibility of such a thing as another site so that those who would suggest I , and others in disagreement with GS on potential applications and directions for GC.com, go somewhere else realize that there is little other place to go because of the lock on the data here.... Rumor has it that opencaching.com has pretty much folded too, for similar reason....

+Sparky-Watts Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 I've heard that Criminal actually knows what he's talking about.
Jomarac5 Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 I heard that Criminal was the pirate who went by the name "The Captain" and that he's starting up a new pirate website. ***** Geo 101
+Sparky-Watts Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 I've heard that J5 has a dozen or more "sock puppet" accounts, just so he can have someone to argue with and win.
+Criminal Posted December 10, 2003 Author Posted December 10, 2003 I heard Jomark is also Team 360, just so he can quit again!

+Halden Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 I heard Criminal really love Virtual Caches and stays up at night trying to find more.
umc Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 I heard that there are about 25 locationless caches that you can do without leaving your kitchen.
+Snoogans Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 Ooooo, a fun thread that hasn't been locked yet. I heard that Criminal and Goofus keep Gallant , as a "Gimp," in a locked box, in Criminal's basement. They tried to make a cache out of the box, but it was archived by TPTB after JoeFrog stuffed it full of dead monkeys. Sn gans IBTL!

+BlueDeuce Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 (edited) The rumor is that I have nothing to contribute to this thread. Lies! All lies! Edited December 10, 2003 by TeamX40
+hikemeister Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 I heard that there are no approvers or moderators -- they all are computer programs developed by NASA, now being run by the National Park Service in a covert effort to get us all to put caches on their land so they can take away our GPS units and ruin our fun
bug and snake Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 Rumors? Forget that stuff. The truth is that you are ALL figments of my imagination and ALL accounts on here are MY sock puppets.
