Bear and Ragged
Just out of a matter of interest, who as ever changed there caching name? Several cachers have. Quote Link to comment
L0ne.R
I use to do it once every couple of weeks. Quote Link to comment
Blue_Ranger
I first signed up with my real first name and last initial, and then once I browsed a bit and saw most people have something a bit more colorful. About a week later I changed it to Blue_Ranger, inspired by my geomobile. Quote Link to comment
niraD
After a couple months, I realized that people were misunderstanding my geocaching name, so I changed it a bit to make it more understandable. They still misunderstand my geocaching name, but not as often, and not in the same way. Quote Link to comment
Riisearch
Changed mine about 1.5 years after starting. My starting out name was my gamer handle, and seemed a bit childish. Quote Link to comment

Harry Dolphin
Ah. Hmm... I'm Harry Dolphin! Have been so for twenty years or more. Started with Bulletin Boards. It's a handle(from CBers.) Not a user name. Remember when you dialed into someone else's computer to access Bulletin Boards? Then that BB ownerer would call in to access the BBs once a week or so? It was my handle when I spent ten years section hiking half the Appalachian Trail. Nope. I'm Harry Dolphin! Quote Link to comment
Academy61
About a year ago I was looking at some old AT logs online and came across Harry Dolphin. I wondered if that was you. Quote Link to comment
geocat_
I have changed mine twice. Stupid thing is, I like the original name I had now. Oh well! Quote Link to comment
NYPaddleCacher
I first signed up with my real first name and last initial, and then once I browsed a bit and saw most people have something a bit more colorful. +TriciaG
I first signed up with my real first name and last initial, and then once I browsed a bit and saw most people have something a bit more colorful. About a week later I changed it to Blue_Ranger, inspired by my geomobile. I signed up with my first name and last initial, and I've stuck with it. I'm simple like that I guess. My mother first signed logs with something spur of the moment, so to speak. Then later she had an "Aha!" moment and came up with a great caching name for her and Dad. She logged her first finds saying, "Signed log as 'OriginalName'" so that the COs wouldn't get confused if they ever compared the written and online logs. Quote Link to comment
Wet Pancake Touring Club
I changed my Geocaching name from my real name a couple of years ago. My profile has a brief description on what the name means. A friend and I (and others) would use it when we did Gimmick Coursemarker Road Rallye's (Hi niraD!), and other activities, back in the 70's. Turns out my friend is also a geocacher. Skye. Quote Link to comment

I know you explain how to pronounce it in your profile, but I still can't help reading it in my head as "near-a-dee".
