  1. Another way is to open Microsoft Edge then go to Geocaching.com. Once there click on the 3 dots on the top right then click open with internet explorer. Now you'll be able to download right to your device. Thats how i do it with my Oregon 450
  2. The date hidden can be important for certain challenge caches GC495H5
  3. lol Sounds like a good idea but i don't know if i'd like Grey Journey as my name
  4. I think what he means and is learning is that the Garmin plug in is not supported by Google Chrome or the new Microsoft Edge.you need to use another browser like Firefox or Explorer to download caches directly to your Garmin
  5. we cached in cuba a couple of years ago.Yes we snuck in a GPS but for the most part its not needed.most cache pages are very descriptive with hints that pinpoint the cache plus lotsa pics in the logs to go by
  6. GC4MZ8P this cache must be a record for one person posting DNFs
  7. My biggest blunder was definitely not fully reading the cache pages.Wasting time on a 1.0 difficulty with 15 DNFs in a row and not found in a year or doing a 100M bushwack when the pages says 5M off the trail was a lesson learned.Another thing that was tough was knowing i won't find every cache or solve every puzzle. I've learned to accept that if the D or T is too high for me its time to move on or put it on ignore list
  8. 1.Big parks with no caches and where does one get hidden? In the corner on a tree beside the fence where the neighour and 50 other houses can see you.A 1000 places to hide it away from muggles and that's the best spot you can find?(yes i know i have no hides but i still can opionate!!!) 2.Suburban caches in general.
  9. I just got back from Cuba last Friday. My brother brought his GPS with no problems or questions asked. In Varadero there is just over 20 caches around.I found 4,couldn't find a couple and the rest we looked for had to skip over because of muggles/tourists.For missing caches alot of found logs refer to "photologging" which i've never heard of before
  10. Lol This might be biased but i like Hamilton. Its in the middle From Toronto to Niagara. An hour In any direction will take you to many caches.
  11. I've never ran into anyone yet,but if i did and it was a far hike to the cache i'd opt for #2.If it was close to my car, well that's why i keep the bigfoot suit in the trunk..... :
