ArtMan
Benchmark hunting is offered in a "new" section via a link buried in the text section of the home page. Since this popular activity is a year old, it seems to me it can hardly be described as "new," and this sort of link seems awkward. Why not add a Benchmarking tab to the left side of the page with all the other tabs? Link to comment
+NeuroNomad
I was wondering this exact same thing. --------------------------------------------------------- Pardon me Sir, but there is a Wild GeoCache in this area. NeuroNomad & Sublonde's Page Link to comment
+southdeltan
I asked the same thing earlier and there was never a response from TPTB so I guess it's not on their priority list. I'm no HTML expert but I don't think it'd take more than a few minutes to put a link up. +Woodbutcher68
At least we don't have much competition! Maps?!? I don't need no stinking maps! I got coordinates! There's a fine line between Geocaching and mental illness, I just not sure which side of the line I'm on! Link to comment

I can't tell you the number of times I go to the geocaching page to look for benchmarks in my area and can't find the link. I know it's there, but having that tab would be so much more convenient and I think it would bring other newbie benchmark hunters into the fold. _________________________________ Webfoot Tromping through the underbrush looking for Ammo cans, Tupperware containers, & little round disks. ArtMan
quote:why not just bookmark http://www.geocaching.com/mark/ ? Well, of course that's possible. But if bookmarks are the answer, why have any navigation tabs at all? Certainly it's just as easy to bookmark the geocaching.com home page or any of the other pages represented by tabs. Perhaps the link to these forums (fora?) could be buried in the homepage text, the way the benchmarking link is. No, this is not just about navigation. It's also about - for lack of a better term - marketing. I suspect many cachers who would be interested in the distinct pleasures of benchmarking have never discovered it because it remains almost a stealth feature of geocaching.com. It is because enchmarking is a distinct sub-activity that it deserves its own tab. Link to comment

+photosaurus
Second-class or not, I wish that benchmark pages had a "Make this page print-friendly (no logs)" link. I hate to print pages with all the other stuff (graphics, ads, etc.) on them. Takes longer to image/print, and serves no useful purpose. Link to comment

For example, it removes all of the avatars, icons, and smileys from the forums (but don't use it if you might want to reply to someone's post; it removes the "reply with quote" icon too ) Link to comment
