  1. Actually I am hoping that this will be my next Cachemobile.... Catrike sport
  2. This is my Cachemobile. Gets Warp 9.9 on a good day. Nice when you are trying to avoid those Muggles known as the Romulans for those crazy caches hidden in the neutral zone.
  3. This is why I like Park-n-Finds so much. Not as likely to run across a body, and you can drive right up to the cache.
  4. Single blue/green Garmin Etrex Legend seeks Garmin Extrex Vista or other superior GPSr. Must have electric compass and be willing to use it. Cobra GPSrs please don't reply. Must have the ability to store at least 500 waypoints and at least 24mb of memory. Ha Ha.
  5. I can see both sides of this topic. I understand the approvers reasoning as well as the placers thoughts. Personally I believe that there should be a seperate site dedicated for just Virtual Caches and there be fewer rules for that site. I for one like finding Historical Markets, old buildings and great views. I think though that the approvers do the best they can with the time and resources that they have to approve caches in a fair and consistant manner.
  6. Will try to get around to renaming it tonight. I don't figure many people will download it either way. Just thought someone might find it useful. Wish I had checked for other stuff like it before I wrote it.
  7. Cool SoonerCat. Hope we can get the area going cache wise. I just moved back up here from the Nashville area, and down there it's hard to go a half mile without running into five caches,
  8. Thanks I was going to place the posting there, but I wasn't sure if the forum topic meant all software or just GPS Unit software.
  9. Downloaded that one from Fizzy, it is different as mine is a GUI that allows allows you to enter your own HTML headers and footers at runtime vs. having to go back in and edit the page.
  10. Didn't search for other ones out there. Just wrote it for myself and thought, hey I could share this someone might be interested. I haven't checked out the others but considering I just threw it together, I doubt it is much different or better than the others. Pretty much it just allows you to design a webpage around the GPX info, nothing more/nothing less. Thanks for the comments.
  11. I just put together a small little application that will take GPX (Pocket Queries) and convert them into a HTML file. Not sure if anyone would be interested but if they are they can get the file from HERE.
  12. Paducah got some, and Wickliffe got a virtual cache. I had to disable two of the Paducah ones though, I am going to move them somewhere else. There are still a number of them I am awaiting approval on. Also I have caches planned for Mayfield, Benton and Murray over the next week or so. Most of them are Micro caches (hide-a-keys, 35mm containers and a few very small tupperware containers).
  13. Team GeoMacDaddy and I have been working on placing a number of caches in the Western Kentucky area. We placed 5 new caches (and two virtuals) this last week. We are have over a dozen more caches to be placed soon. Please keep an eye out if you live or commute thru the area. There are a number of new cachers in the area that are preparing to place caches as well. With any luck we can make the West Kentucky area a cache rich zone.
  14. My membership is up in a week and I don't want to use PayPal myself as I don't have an active account and don't want to make another one just for this site, I hope that Geocaching.com will accept Credit Cards soon so when my membership runs out I can reknew.

  16. I have a question.... I am asking this honestly... 9/11 was a terrible thing, no doubt about it. But what I don't understand is why people rever it so much when there are so many other tragic things that happen. Look at the thousands of innocent people that die each year because of drunk drivers. We can stop that mess, yet we allow it to happen. Or what about kids that get beat to death or left unintended and perish. There are so many things that we can prevent. 9/11 was terrible and we always need to remember, but if we spent a fraction of the time working towards putting a end to other forms of "terror" wouldn't this country be a better place? --------------------------------------------------------- Pardon me Sir, but there is a Wild GeoCache in this area. www.neurocache.com - NeuroNomad & Sublonde's Page

  21. Thanks, but the item is worth more than that. I appreciate the offer though. If I can not get my asking price, then I am not going to sell. quote:Originally posted by Huntforit:I'll give you $85.00 for it. ************************************************************ "Sometimes you gotta look like an *** to get that cache!"...huntforit ************************************************************ --------------------------------------------------------- Pardon me Sir, but there is a Wild GeoCache in this area. www.neurocache.com - NeuroNomad & Sublonde's Page

  24. I am selling my eTrex Legend, bought it in June. It is in perfect shape and includes a carrying case. Never been dropped, in water, or had any problems. I am selling the Legend and case for $130 or best offer, plus shipping and handling. I can provide photos if need. Will accept paypal, or Check/Money Order. If Money Order is used, I will ship after Check/MO has cleared. --------------------------------------------------------- Pardon me Sir, but there is a Wild GeoCache in this area. www.neurocache.com - NeuroNomad & Sublonde's Page
  25. As someone that had a cache stolen recently, I know how it is to lose a cache. But on the flip side, from what I saw of this guys site, there is nothing to lead me to believe that he wan't going to return the items at some point. Granted it is not fair play, but do we really think that we can hide stuff in public places, post the location to that stuff, and not expect items to get taken from time to time. So I am kinda shocked by the people being so suprised that someone might do something like this. But what shocks me the most is the fact that people are going as far as reporting him to comcast because of his site. I think that is way overboard. It is not like he is going to someones private property and stealing it and then posting it on his site to brag about breaking and entering. Then to go past that and report the deal to the police may in the long run reflect bad on geocaching. As someone put it, you can almost see the trial, "Judge: Pirate you must return the items taken, Cache Owner you must pay a $100 fine for knowingly leaving a container in a public park." As far as kids go. I know that my niece had just as much fun (sometimes more) finding a micro with just a log book as she did finding a regular cache. I can't speak about all children, but around my niece unless I was to make a big deal about stuff not being in the cache, I really doubt that she would have noticed. If you allow your kids to believe that every cache will have most likely have a toy or whatnot then you are setting yourself up for hearing them fuss when you could across a cache that is empty besides a log book. Once again, I am COMPLETELY against people taking stuff from a cache. I think it is stupid and childish. But we all have to be responsible and realize that some people are this way, and that is just life. If they come into your house or yard and take something, shoot them. If you purposely leave something in public for others to find, then you are going to have to expect something like this to happen from time to time. Right or wrong, it ain't right but it is bound to happen. I agree with those that said that a lot of you are just going to make matters worse by trying to get his page banned. Comcast most likely will not remove it since there is nothing illegal about what he is doing. unmoral, however distasteful it might be, by trying to stir up stuff with him you are only going to make him that much more determined to do it. Not only that but you are going to get others attracted to the thought. There is always individuals out there that get a kick out of stiring up peoples emotions. --------------------------------------------------------- Pardon me Sir, but there is a Wild GeoCache in this area. www.neurocache.com - NeuroNomad & Sublonde's Page
