Those Sioux Falls guys are nuts... in a good way. They've been into crazy geocaching for years. Its been a couple years since I've gone over that way, but I think its time for another trip.

The only problem is it takes a lot of power to follow the trail to South Dakota. I know there are quite a few similar type series in the US. I wonder if there is a list of these type of series?

That series is fun to look at on the map, but if you're in SD and want a numbers run that will give you a great hike as well, try Sica Hollow.

There are something like 90 caches in this remote park. They've been there a year now and most only have half a dozen finds. I was FTF on one that had been in place for six months.

There is a smiley face at Lake Lure in NC.

Granted, it is a lot easier to make the artwork with all puzzle caches like here and the peace sign in Seattle. But it works well in areas that don't have wide open expanses like they have in CA/NV/UT/SD.

Looks like the description has been written to preempt every possible issue.

"...do not park in the follow locations:

  • in an intersection"

I wonder what happened for them to come up with that one?

You would think common sense would be a requirement for a drivers license but we all know drivers that have none. One time I was on a four lane one way bridge when the car in front of me did a U-Turn and started going the other way. But about the topic at hand, that Jet pattern trail in Idaho is awesome.

That's very cool! We don't have any cache series like that where we live.

Here's my fav line:

"Geocaching and related activities in any form are inherently extremely dangerous."

Bring it on, baby!

closest to you would be in Washington state. The PEACE SIGN series and another one near Seattle. There are some in Canada but I think they are in the Eastern provinces area. Like New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.

What's the other one near Seattle? (Other than the peace series?)
