Hi Everyone, this is just to let you all know we are planning a TB race from Jersey to New Jersey - if you want to enter please PM me and I will let you know where to post TB's (or just follow the links below). Or if you are feeling lucky you could just release a TB with a mission to get to Jersey in time for the race...

Jersey is a small self governing island 12 miles from the North coast of France.

New Jersey is one of the 50 states of the USA

More details here: http://coord.info/GC2WZH0

And here: http://www.tb-run.com/show-race.php?run=JERSEY2NEWJERSEY

PS Mods - I know this is a TB related topic but can you let this stay in the general forum for a few days? Cheers! :anibad:

Edited - thanks :anicute: did not pay attention at school...

Some people in the UK thought I should also post in the UK forum but thought this would cover everyone without reposting in all the regional forums.

I thought it was common knowledge? It's like knowing that Washington D/C is the capitol of the US of A, you don't need a high-school degree to know that.

this could be done a few other ways too

York to New York

South Wales to New South Wales

Hampsire to New Hampshire

then you could drop the 'new' and go for;

Birmingham, UK to Birmingham, Alabama, US

Boston,Lincolnshire UK to Boston, US

there are so many place names from the UK repeat across the globe (mainly the english speaking nations obviously)

Maybe for most of the USA it is common knowledge.

But it would be like asking you if you know all the states in Germany, or even all the countries in the EU.

Do you know the capital of Jersey - the Island that is?

I do, I do! Lovely town. Great cache by the hospital tunnels, a tad west.

Ooh! Ooh! Mr. Kotter! We've been to all 16 Bundesländer! Pick me, pick me! :anitongue:

(Not sure on all the EU countries, but I know we've cached most.)

Back to the topic: this sounds like a great idea. I hope the race goes well.

I'd love to, but I don't currently have any TBs. Even I could get one from Amazon by tomorrow, I don't think I could get it to Jersey in time. Pity. But, I think I will go to Amazon and order something anyway.

EDIT - sadly, there are no trackables I can get next day from Amazon, so even that hope has been dimmed. Good luck with the race. I look forward to watching it.
