+Atropos3
Reading the guidelines I am unsure if it is acceptable for me to use a thin stake to hold a cache in place. No digging will actually take place and the cache finder won't have to dig or use a pointy object to get at the cache. Is this acceptable? Quote Link to comment
+t4e
i've seen plenty around, to me a stake doesn't constitute digging Quote Link to comment
+Chrysalides
My usual reply for such questions is to check with your reviewer, since our "vote" doesn't count for anything when it comes to getting a cache published. I would expect your reviewer would choose to be cautious though, so if possible, supply photos and proof of permission. Quote Link to comment
+secretagentbill
Also check with whomever gave you permission to place the cache to see if it is acceptable to stake it. Quote Link to comment

+briansnat
Pushing a stake (something like a tent stake) into the ground generally isn't considered digging and should be OK in most instances. Quote Link to comment
k_statealan
IMO--in dirt, yes. Tree, no. Rock, maybe. Quote Link to comment
