Rhialto
No, I'm not talking about GPS the movie. Just a few months ago I saw another trailer with a cute girl searching a cache with a boy, I also remember her jumping into water from a cliff without fear and the guy was afraid. Anyone can tell me the name? I would be curious to watch that movie when available. Thanks Quote Link to comment

+webscouter.
Not what you are looking for but another movie that has geocaching in it is Find Me. Quote Link to comment
+J-Way
I haven't seen the movie, but FWIW every review I've ever read mentioned the foul language. Not safe for kids. Quote Link to comment

+steve p
I hope Splinterheads will someday make it to theaters, or even to DVD. I was at GeoWoodstock but wasn't able to stay for the screening that night. Quote Link to comment
+GrateBear
Would any of you actually pay to go see that movie? I mean, maybe if it came on tv for free, but to actually part with hard earned cash? Quote Link to comment
+popokiiti
In the film Impact (meteor hits moon, moon is going to impact earth) part of the movie was filmed here in Victoria. The site of a geocache is behind the lead actor at the ball park when he is talking on his cell phone. The cache owners are very proud Quote Link to comment
+The magician & his assistant
i would love to see this movie, it reminds me of a zach braff film called Garden state Quote Link to comment
majormajor42
I can't wait to see it either. Looking forward to getting up to High Falls, NY where the cliff jumping scene takes place. there is a real cache nearby but not underwater one from the movie. Quote Link to comment

+wimseyguy
Yea, there is some language that may not be exactly little kid friendly. But the list of words that are unacceptable for Prime Time seems to have dwindled. If you liked Garden State you will certainly like this one. Quote Link to comment
Rhialto
Great! Should be in Canada soon now... Anyone clicked the "Geocachers click here" and filles the form on the movie website? Unsure if it's worldwide or mostly for US... Quote Link to comment
+hukilaulau
I saw the movie Friday in Manhattan. Here are some quick impressions, maybe I'll do a more in depth review later: It took awhile to get going. I was kind of bored waiting for the geocaching parts, but then, a strange thing happened... I started to really get interested in the characters! And not just the leads. Two of the caches found were really very good hides! Someone did their homework on that part! But Galaxy, is that really the way you hold a gps, or was the more natural way just too subtle for unsophisticated viewers? You didn't actually USE the gps to find the caches! Or even explain following the pointy arrow. Galaxy is a pretty good actress, but is really just too good looking to be believable in her role. In my opinion, one AMAZING support character and his ditzy but appealing partner ultimately stole the movie. They were the only ones who really gained any depth as their sub-story unfolded. The scene involving "The Golden Cow of Awakening" was hilarious and probably the most realistic scene in the movie, but you won't get it unless you REALLY remember the 70's! I would give this movie three stars, but I wouldn't expect professional reviewers to give it more than two. But then, I was way wrong about how popular the Broadway revival of "Hair" would be. I would be happy to be that mistaken again... Quote Link to comment
+BBI Dragon
Splinterheads is opening here in Portland next Friday Nov. 13th. I've got a poster and pass for two. [] Quote Link to comment
+U_Dac
I know this movie will turn some people into Geocaching and other to make fun of Geocachers... but I just hope this movie lets more people know about Geocaching so that I won't have to worry about people thinking I'm suspicious when looking for caches.
