+Puppy Dawg Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 I would like to thank the site developers for the new layout on the geocaching.com site. It has info in more convenient places, as well as a great look as well. A job well done!

+wandering4cache Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 I've only been able to see the home page so far, but it looks much cleaner than it was. The old home page was really confusing for new people to even figure out what geocaching was about.
+J-Way Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 (edited) NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pease don't make major changes which break the site the night before a 4-day trip!!! I can't bookmark and download caches before I leave! *sob* Edited July 23, 2008 by J-Way

+trainlove Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 5:52 and all is A-OK. But I have not checked each page of the site.
+lrosell Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 Overall a nice look but why in friths name would you move the Trackable Inventory to the bottom of the page???
WYTigerLily Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 I was in the middle of logging several finds, and the site went down and I couldn't do anything. Now it seems to be back up, and has a whole new look, but I am having trouble logging my finds. No matter what date I specify that I found them, it puts today's date as the log date. Perhaps this is an urgent bug???
ssgeo83 Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 What a cooincidence. This is my first time logging in to geocaching.com since March. I was updating new caches into Microsoft Word. Then when I clicked on a link, the page would not work until a few minutes later. Nice layout. You are able to log in from the home page which I always wanted. The only thing I don't like is that now when you are on a cache description page, when you click to decript/encript hints, the entire page refreshes rather than just revealing the hints. Then you have to click the back button 3 or 4 times before you can get back to the search results page. I hope they change this.
+ThirstyMick Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 like the new format the google maps search option seems to be broken though, i put in an address and it reloads the map of Green Lake park
OpinioNate Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 (edited) ... No matter what date I specify that I found them, it puts today's date as the log date. Perhaps this is an urgent bug??? We're currently working on a hotfix for this issue. You'll be able to backdate your logs again soon. like the new format the google maps search option seems to be broken though, i put in an address and it reloads the map of Green Lake park We will check into this as well. Thanks for letting us know. Edited July 23, 2008 by OpinioNate
+Malpas Wanderer Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 What's Happened to the download buttons New cache published but no means of downloading
+Ambrosia Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 like the new format the google maps search option seems to be broken though, i put in an address and it reloads the map of Green Lake park I've noticed that when you load google maps from a pocket query, and if it's slow and takes a bit, it always hangs on Green Lake. Then when it's completely loaded it goes to your pocket query. Just a funny observation.
+Harry Dolphin Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 (edited) Print cache page only give me about 2/3 of the page, from the right. Even with printer set to 'fit to page'. EEEK! I cannot print out cache pages! Okay. I found the new 'print' button. Makes it into a different format than I'm used to. Edited July 23, 2008 by Harry Dolphin
+TexasGringo Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 Now I have to look at myself, in the upper right, each time I go to the site.
OpinioNate Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 What's Happened to the download buttons New cache published but no means of downloading Please explain that in more detail if you could. The download buttons for .GPX and .LOC are both visible (and phone and Send to GPS) on cache pages if you're logged in. Thanks.
+SgtSue Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 Nice look. Will need time to check it all out. Bookmark list are missing. That is a problem. I've several that are no longer there, one of which I was using just a few hours ago. Hoping that gets fixed soon.
+chief20r2 Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 Like the new driving directions feature added.....
