avroair
Ok, a little late in the year, but it's spring around here. What coins would you put on a calendar to represent the twelve months of the year (besides the obvious seasonal and club coins)? Provided you got permission from all the owners, to put their coins on the calendar. Best 12 get a coin. Here are my twelve: January - Jan & The Percey Boys February - Forest Cache Frog March - GBA Death March coin April - Dancing Fools May - Sunshine Gang June - Team Lightningbugs July - Surfboard Hibiscus August - 2dolphins September - School of Piranha October - Canada's Capital Cachers November - COOL Club December - Avalanche Will keep this posted for 4-5 days... +GATOULIS
Hello! I do not know a lot about geocoins, designs etc, but I will give a try! I was searching in the net trying to find photos to see geocoins! Unfortunatelly I do not know if some of the coins I found are trachable or not! In some I can not choose!!! Since I do not know if they are trackable, I placed them both and you will choose! sorry for that, and I hope Avroair will forgive me! It is very difficult if you do not have the experience of holding or seeing these geocoins from close! So...My geocoin Calendar is: January: - all season - winter geocoin or...old man winter geocoin! (beautiful but is it trackable?) February: - Love geocoin March: - Easter navigation egg (is that the right name?) April: - April fools geocoin May: - Red Remembrance poppy June: - Kansas sunshine July: - Seastar (or star fish..aren't the same?) geocoin or...beach ball searchin in the sand geocoin. August: - Sunshine gang (beautiful!!!) September: - school bus geocoin October: - pumpkin geocoin or...Vampires, mummies & geochost GC (They look almost the same!) November: - snowman window or... FTF dance winter style (is it trackable?) December: - Santa's Christmas Window geocoin. In case My double entries are not good for the cointest, please let me know. Also, if any coin of them is not trackable or anything, please let me know! Quote Link to comment

+GATOULIS
Oh!!! I just found what the Red Remembrance poppy symbolize! I didn't know that it was for the veteran's day, to remind us the dead soldiers and the blood they drop...! I put it on May as a flower! I do not know if this is in other countries too, but in 1st of May we are goin out and collect flowers! We make a wreath with them and we put it in our front door of our house! Except that I think the poppy is a symbol of the celebrations of 1st May when workers were killed while they were protesting for the 8 hour's work per day! 1st of May is actually an ancient celebration for the beginning of Summer! At ancient times, the 22nd of June believed to be the middle of Summer (according to ancient callendars!) Quote Link to comment
+tadpole379
This is such a fun idea!! It made me pull out all mu coins and spread them all over the floor trying to pick which ones to use. I happen to have a TON of animal themed coins, so I decided to make a year for the animals! January-OshnDoc because Jan is a chilly month and penguins like the cold (unlike me) February-Do Unto Others because Valentines Day is in Feb and it is a time of giving and sharing with others March-jAY miLLS and Texas TGA Sheeo because March comes in like a Lion and goes out like a lamb April and May - Geomuse suncatcher, WI_Robin, and cachepillar because spring is here and the birds and insects begin to wake and return after the winter June - my tadpole 2007 personal because the tadpoles are becoming frogs July-Cacheroach because summer and picnicking is in full swing and the bugs are out and about August-Auntie Nae because who doesn't like a dip in the pool in the heat of August September-Allegheny State Park Geobash because the raccoons are busy preparing for the coming fall October-Crowsfeat because the Crow has a spooky Halloweenish feel to it November-Thanksgiving Loggerhead-self explanatory December- White carousel horse-makes me think of a sleigh ride at Christmastime And then while I was looking through all my animal themed coins, I realized that I have a while pile of frog-themed coins. And so....presenting.....a year in frogs!! January-LizardToadz Toadz decoder February-Leap Year March-CITO featuring Signal April-Forest Cache Frog May-Rainforest Jewel June-Laubfrosch July-Lilypad August-tadpole379 2007 personal September-Minnestrista Maze coin featuring Signal October and November- Frog Prince December - CITO featuring signal **I would have placed my 2008 tadpole coin on there, but I don't have any physical coins yet.
