+GATOULIS
Hello to all! In my last cache search, I found in a cache a strange coin that looks like a geocoin! Itis a small one, about 23-24 mm, but it doesn't have the "Trackable at geocaching.com", and it doesn't have a tracking number! I have no idea what this is! If it is an unoficial geocoin, it means that I can keep it? since I did not know what it is, I took it and put something else in the cache! Is someone know something about this coin? What it is, why it is minted etc? I will post pictures of both sides! <a href="http://s207.photobucket.com/albums/bb22/GATOULIS/?action=view¤t=0001.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb22/GATOULIS/0001.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s207.photobucket.com/albums/bb22/GATOULIS/?action=view¤t=0002.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb22/GATOULIS/0002.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> Thank you for your help! +zazth
Looks like you found a pathtag! I'm sure there are others here who can give you more info on how to log it. Think they have their own websites but I am not a pathtag collector! You've come to the right place though! Quote Link to comment
Tooeygeotrashed
A visit to the coin makers website might elicit more information, I don't speak the language so cannot help I'm afraid. But the little figures look really cute ! http://www.milerski-eglifiguren.de/ Quote Link to comment
+zazth
You could try one of those translators online. You cut and paste the text for the translation. Or maybe mousekakat or one of the other folks here that speak a foreign lanuguage could help! Is that German? Dutch? Quote Link to comment
+hollora
I believe this is German. You can translate the whole web page, no need for cut and paste, by going to http://babelfish.altavista.com/ and putting in the http address of the web page. Quote Link to comment

Between all of use we can all swing translating Danish if we need to.... although I think that there are a couple of Danes here, as well. There are a couple of Germans here, Steinwälzer is who I can think of off the top of my head, but she's been busy with school. Wie drie (sorry for butchering the spelling there) is Dutch... We've got some Greeks, Ukrainians and a couple of other nationalities here, too, so I'm sure someone can get ya translated and on track! Naomi Quote Link to comment
+Geo.Error
The language is german. It is a artshow about figurs around Jezus leben for 2000 jahr. the show opens at 14 - 30 march 2008. (it is advertising for the show) I think you can keep your pathtag, if you have more question i can try to answer them, but i am not so good as a real german. I don't think that the link was posted with the intention to try to sell something so much as it was posted to show the myriad of examples there are We use them here in Sweden, too. At first I hated it and thought it was a major pain in the butt, but now I love it! My car doesn't have a single ding on it from some bozo leaving their cart randomly in the parking lot . Even better is that the carts are rarely wet or yucky since they are almost always either returned inside the store or to a covered little "cart barn" thingie I have a little trolley coin (Brittish English) on my keychain that I use, Micke does, too. +KrazyTrollz
They are very cute!!!!!!! thanks for posting that link wish we used that for the shopping carts around here.... the few that actually do that, have you use quarters, then you get it back when you return the cart. It doesn't matter what the purpose is, the link is not allowed Quote Link to comment
+wutzebear
Yes, the language is german, and the company which runs the website is selling courses where these dolls are made. The "coin" is a token for a shopping cart; a promotional item, not trackable and never intended as a geocoin. Almost all shopping carts over here work with 1€ coins (which you get back when bringing your cart back), but a little keychain with 1-2 of these tokens and you can't run out of coins for your cart. +GATOULIS
Thank you all for your help!!! I have some German shopping cart tokens, and some german coins from chemist shops but do not look like this one! This strange coin looks a lot like path tag, but is thinner! As I saw, it is not in the gallery of path tags! (I saw some beautiful path tags there!!!). So, even if it looks like a signature coin, I am starting to think that is a token for shopping cart too! I will send an email to site, to see what they will tell me! They maybe made it o advertise the event in March! Anyway...I like it! :-) Quote Link to comment
+Eartha
Asking where something came from is fine. There are so many nontrackable coins out there that when something like this shows up in a cache, people want to know what it is, before they place it in another cache. Where better to ask? However, posting unapproved commercial links is not allowed. The commercial links have been removed. Quote Link to comment
+Shop99er
It's not a pathtag. They have numbers on the back, and nothing else. This looks like a home made sig item. Quote Link to comment
+Steinwälzer
A shopping cart token was my first thought when I saw it, too But a really nice one, most of them are really ugly I just had a look, and never realized that they have the exact size of a pathtag! Maybe I should use a pathtag now for my shopping cart instead of one of those ugly tokens to make my shopping cart trackable Quote Link to comment

+USA 45
I checked her web site out and I saw that it was a logo for her site, I emailed her and asked was it a signature item or just a tag that hooks on her figures she makes . I typed in english and had it change to german. But lol some of our words are not the same. I hope she can understand my question. If She gets back to me I will post her answer in english.
