+rutson Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 (edited) How much for one adult? And, by: "30th-01st may 2008" do you mean "30th May - 1st June"? Pity if you do as it clashes with HazelS' Cheshire event :-( Edited January 7, 2008 by rutson Quote
+HazelS Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 (edited) Sam I think that that will clash with my Cheshire event!!! Maybe it won't be a problem, as they are at either end of the country - but I assumed you'd be coming to my event! Never mind, I'm sure there will be plenty of events we will meet up at! Actually - I need to check with the campsite as they have yet to cash my deposit cheque.... Edited January 7, 2008 by HazelS Quote
+rutson Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Oooo! if they do clash and looking at your avatars, does this mean we're gonna have a little miss fight on our hands? Quote

+Father Jack Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 As usual, I can’t guarantee I’ll be there mainly because of work/study schedule, but I would like to. Count me in, I’ll confirm closer to the date. Oooo! if they do clash and looking at your avatars, does this mean we're gonna have a little miss fight on our hands? I'll get the mud pool ready for the fight. Quote
Deceangi Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Oooo! if they do clash and looking at your avatars, does this mean we're gonna have a little miss fight on our hands? Only if it's off the forum otherwise Mr Nasty will get involved Quote

I'd love to come if I can so please don't make it on the 21st June as that clashes with SP's Scilly Isles event. Also - see here for dates of other camping events planned: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=171731 I don't know if LucyLocket10 got anywhere with their event - may be worth speaking to them? Good luck! Lisa Quote

+Cryptik Souls Crew Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 As the number of cachers and events grows there are bound to be event clashes. Not really a big deal is it? You can't go to em all... Quote
+vw_k Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I think the sooner you choose a free weekend and set a date the less chance there will be of someone planning an event that will clash with it, depending on the dates and if my busy folk festival scedule allows (ah, the hectic life of a Morris dancer!) I'll try to come along Quote
+lathama Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 As the number of cachers and events grows there are bound to be event clashes. Not really a big deal is it? You can't go to em all... Trust me i'll try! Quote
fraggle69 Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 It would work out quite cheap if anyone wanted a threesome or more lol Quote

+TheMightyFinn Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Hello all, Just had a message from Pup on good old facebook so I thought I'd check this out... I'm afraid our South East event hasn't come to anything - due to lack of time and not being able to find a suitable campsite for the dates chosen, I think this isn't going to happen this year. We (siliconwombat and myself) would be happy to attend and help (if needed!) with LMN's event, even if just setting more caches which Kent desperately needs! Any dates are good too. Sorry to all who said they would be interested in coming to our event, hopefully they will be tempted to visit this corner of the UK for LMN's event?! Lucy Quote
+TheMightyFinn Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Right then! I have been talking to LMN and as she had the campsite and I had some dates, we are going to work together to hold a joint South East event! The dates are 13th - 15th June - look out for a new cache page soon and let us know if you can come. This will be Kent's first camping event (as far as I know), so please bear with us...hopefully we can all work together to make it a success!! Lucy Quote
+minstrelcat Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Unless I fell asleep and missed one, yes it will be Kent's first camping event and Kent's second ever event (unless someone organises one before then). I'll be there, I've not decided about camping though. If there is anything I can do to help you guys out I will be happy to as I'm local-ish! Lisa Quote
+Mad H@ter Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 We will try our best to get there but being the weekend before our Dreaming Spires Cache Bash we may be a bit too busy getting ready. Quote
+The Cache Hoppers Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Pffft Phillis - since when did you become lightweights!? Looking good girlies - and a bit warmer too - March had me worried, brrrrrrr! Its exam season for both my teenagers but its in the diary and will be there if possible. Keep me off the cider and off that ferry please. Por favor S'il vous plait Quote
+Cushie Butterfield Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Is it possible to still come and not camp overnight? I don't have any camping equipment but we live only 20 minutes drive away. (Goes off to find out what an 'event' entails...) Quote
+little-miss-naughty Posted January 11, 2008 Author Posted January 11, 2008 ok the event has been sent for publication yes day vistors are welcome at a cost of £2 per car will be nice to see everyone. Quote

+Mad H@ter Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 (edited) Its exam season for both my teenagers Thanks for the reminder, sorry, but no chance of being able to make this with sons exams either side . I'm beginning to wonder if we will ever get that corner of the map coloured in! Edited January 11, 2008 by Phillimore Clan Quote
