+Eclectic Penguin
Sorry - I'm sure this has been dealt with before, but I hope someone can answer my question. Last weekend I was out with a friend (well, my cousin to be precise) out and about Geocaching. Although I'd mentioned Geocaching to him before this was his first experience of the sport. We hid two and found two together. Since the weekend, he's bought his own GPSr and is now a bonafide Geocacher having already found 3 caches I haven't discovered myself in my local (but not quite overlapping) area. So, my question is... I know he can log the ones we FOUND together but what about the two that were hidden? He saw me hiding both so has prior knowledge. My gut reaction is no, despite the fact that he wasn't a cache hider at the time as he was with me along for the ride, he's now not able to log these as finds as he's got prior knowledge of their locations as he was with me at the time they were hidden. +Dorsetgal & GeoDog
I wouldn't sweat either way, go with whatever he is comfortable with, he was a muggle then and he's a cacher now, so really that's all that matters Quote Link to comment
+NinjaPete
I say let him log them as long as he is not claiming FTF, after all he has been to the cache site. Quote Link to comment
+traildad
He can log them but first he needs to go back and find them while blindfolded. Quote Link to comment
nobby.nobbs
he can log them after buying you a pint or more for each........ don't sweat the small stuff Quote Link to comment
+Wadders
I'd let him log them. Once he's been back and signed the log book Quote Link to comment
+Eclectic Penguin
Once he's been back and signed the log book That's what I said to him One's quite easy to visit from where he lives but the other is quite a treck across rugged terrain! Quote Link to comment
+The Cache Hoppers
He can log them but first he needs to go back and find them while blindfolded. .... and with his shoelaces tied tightly together, and he must sign the logbook in his own blood! Quote Link to comment

Out here we log those as "beta-testers" after the FTF has found the cache. Quote Link to comment
