Geocaching New Year's Resolutions

With the end of the year fast approaching and 2007 just around the corner, I thought it was time to start putting together my list of New Year's Resolutions.

 

Geocaching has grown into a big part of my life over the past year so I thought I should also think of some things related to caching that I would like to do better in the next year as well.

 

For one, I resolve to always have a camera in my geocaching bag and to post many more pictures with my logs to show appreciation for some for the great cache locations out there.

 

I'm curious if anyone else has any caching resolutions for the next year.

Hide more difficult caches that will tend to be multi-staged, involving a hike and scenery, and consist of at least one ammo can.

 

Wipe out the remaining caches within 50 miles of home.

 

Find all of our neighboring city's most evil micro hider's caches.

 

Find all of our neighboring city's most evil puzzle hider's caches.

 

Reach 500 caches found.

 

Have at least as much fun in 2007 as I did in 2006.

1) Go caching

2) Finish the R&R of some of my neglected caches.

3) Place some caches that have been in the works for years.

 

I like the picure Idea...I need to do more of that myself.

I would also like to get at least 3 prople hooked like i am.

And I too like the camera idea... I have see some great things, and I wish I had my camera.

Hide a Cache that is more difficult than my existing 5 x 5. Would that make it a 7 x 7 in 07!

I'd say find caches in two other states....Take my son out to get him started (h'es 1 month now)....Prolly won't do either, but hey, what are resolutions for?

 

Edit: Two other things - group caching and use at least 1 vacation/personal day from work to cache and log double digit finds that day.

I will do less quantity and more quality!

 

I will not hide a cache unless there is something truly special about it.

Get back into picking up and moving TBs along - just kind of stopped looking at them sometime in the past few months. Also need to look through my son's toys and find any TBs he might accidently have taken. (found one the other night)

 

Also - plant some new caches at really cool spots. Find only caches that really interest me - not just because they exist.

To hide my first few caches. (One is done, the other is waiting for paint. )

 

To help my son log a few caches on his own account.

Host a couple of C.I.T.O. events (probably under the F.G.A account) and host a couple of Meet and Greets.

I don't make resolutions. That requires resolve.

invent a car that doesn't use gasoline, or find a way to steal some.

spread the addiction.

do a CITO event.

do a non-CITO event.

party like it's 1999.

Not much on resolutions but,Meet & Greet as many cachers as I can. put a 5/5 cache in OKLA,Put out a quality night cache,Have as much fun caching as I can!!

Like mgbmusic, I'm going to try to cross into at least two different states. Its always interesting to get out of your normal zone, and see what other people are doing.

I have one more big one. I would really love to finish my state's Delorme challenge in '07. I have a long way to go.
