  1. You may want to try Easy GPS www.easygps.com That will allow you to change the settings and add the hints
  2. Glad to help... it does cost, but for 8 dollars us, to me it was an easy pick!
  3. If you dont mind me asking, what CC did you use. The first time I bought a membership I used a Master Card and there were issues... all I had to do was give Groundspeak a call they they got me all fixed up. Now I use PayPal and I have no problems at all. Hope this helps
  4. Yes this has been happening to me as well... not sure what is going on, but today I started up Google Earth for the first time and I was already overy my limit? I dont really care, it is just a nice way to plan a trip.
  5. I had the same issue as you... but what is really happening is you GPS is only displaying 50 caches at a time... if you search through your caches alphabetically you will see all of your 500 caches. As for deleting waypoints you just have to hit the menu key and hit the delete... and they select all symbols. I hope this helps... Danny
  6. I like the comment that Donald Daisy + Kids made about their GPSr... I still fall into that trap... I think the GPS should do all the work!! What fun is that??!!
  7. I would look at smittyware.com, the program cachmate... there are versions for both Pocket PC and Palm OS. I have been using it for Pocket PC and like it. hope this helps Dan
  8. I didnt really have much trouble finding my first few caches, but I hand picked them carefully... I was doing this with my 5 year old daughter and wanted to make sure that found them. Just keep trying and read the logs and hints... you will find them! Have fun Dan
  9. If you havent got it working yet try this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/283807 If that doesnt work let me know and we can keep digging. D
  10. I have a Timberland and I love it... it isnt a 3in1, but for a winter jacket it is great.
  11. I put in a request as well... Diabetes, due to complications took my Father.
  12. I would just like to get out more. I would also like to get at least 3 prople hooked like i am. Hide a few caches And I too like the camera idea... I have see some great things, and I wish I had my camera. -D
  13. A PQ is a pocket query... "Pocket Queries are custom geocache queries you can have emailed to you on a daily or weekly basis. They are in a format you can bring along with you on cache hunts on your GPS and/or PDA. You can select a GPX or LOC text file and/or MobiPocket eBook format that works with supported software applications. Because of the detailed queries, each search can run only once per day. You have up to 5 pocket queries run every 24 hour period." - from Geocaching.com A KML file is a file that you can create with Google earth... you can use this file with the Find Caches along a route tool. In Google earth you can create a route between 2 points and save it as a KML file... you can then upload this file to Geocaching.com to find all of the caches along that route. Hope this helps... I'm sure others can add to this -D
