+vespax
Since geocaching recognizes a certain day of the year as a CITO 'holiday' (22 April) we want to hear what is being planned all around the world. I have heard rumors of big events going off in Ireland, USA and we are in the process of putting South Africa right up with them. I will post details when they are finished, the commitee is still at work negotiating the terms, but it promises to be great. Should be within a day or two. Ok, here it is. CITO-Western Cape Things are moving with this one. Lets hear what everyone else is doing, no matter what land your in. Regards... Edit: Post cache details. +FlyinV
2nd Annual South Jersey Geocachers CITO: SJG CITO II (GCRZYN) Wharton State Forest is the largest single tract of land within the New Jersey State Park System with over 110,000 acres. Wharton is located in the heart of South Jersey's Pine Barrens. The forest is mostly flatland and as part of the upper reaches of the Mullica River, it has plenty of marshlands and small streams running through it. It is crisscrossed by miles of unpaved, sandy soil roads, which give cachers excellent access to all reaches of the forest. Quote Link to comment

+OzGuff
The North Carolina Geocachers Organization has organized four CITO events across the state. I will be the local contact for NCGO State-Wide CITO: Mountains. We plan on having tons of fun! NC State Parks allow geocaches but with a $35 fee, so we are hoping to produce enough goodwill to get any fees waived! Quote Link to comment
+beenhere
Falling Water Trail CITO April 22, 9am at Lime Lake County Park, Spring Arbor, Michigan. This CITO is sponsored by the Jackson County Parks & Recreation Dept. and The Friends of the Falling Water Trail. (GCT7NN) The Friends group is leading the effort to establish a Rails to Trails Park that covers 10.3 miles along an old rail bed in the south western part of the county. They have requested that the geocaching community join with them for a clean up of the trailway before construction begains this spring. Even more important to them is for us to help map the trail and set up waypoint post to help response teams in case of emergancies. We hope to have a good turn out of geocachers as you know we will be using the trail. http://www.fitnesscouncil.org/fallingwater/index.htm Quote Link to comment

If you want to see the layout of the lake, or check directions, this map should help. Gloves and bags supplied. Burgs, dogs, brats, McD's orange, etc. after pick up. Game after food, grand prize and door prizes after game. List of 20 new caches to all participants, caches will not be released to the public until after the event and after dark to make sure all who helped get first chance. Mostly blown, and light litter, nothing heavy. Hope to see alot of you there. Quote Link to comment

+CacheSafari
We are hosting one on April 22 in North Texas, near Denton, about 20 miles north of Dallas. It's at an undeveloped lakeside park at Lewisville Lake which has been great for caching and hiking. It really needs this CITO event. A local Boy Scout troop is joining us for the project and we have the cooperation/assistance of the US Army Corps of Engineers. +wavector
We have three CITO events happening in Alberta, Canada all on the same day, April 22nd. Our CITO event in Medicine Hat, Alberta is called ECO 2006 and we have challenged the organizers of the other two events, one in Edmonton called We Care and Give Back and one in Calgary called Calgary Area Cachers CITO to a trash per person tally challenge. Our city is much much smaller than the other two so a total weight challenge wouldn't work. These three CITO's are all linked together by the organizers agreeing to participate in the challenge and our intercity CITO challenge even got written up in the local newspaper. We really hope to have a great turnout and are looking forward to CITO/Earth Day. Quote Link to comment
+goneski
On April 22, I will be introducing 35 Army Cadets from the Cheticamp, Inverness, Margaree Nova Scotia area to Geocahing as part of our Map and Compass/GPS expidition. CITO will be a big part, as that is also part of the Cadets training to take pictures and leave only foot prints. We will be hiding a Corps cache as well so watch your email for the new cache.
