For insurance reasons, I have to register the event under a name, last year the Forester registered under 'The Geocache Group', I particularly don't think this is very interesting, as we will also get a mention on the Conservation Trusts webpage. Link here, we are third from the end on the list.

So what is required is a simple name that I can register under, but gives us an identity that will be recognisable when mentioned on their website. Suggestions please everyone!

Don't worry about the insurance part, it's all covered within the arrangements.

Still plenty of time HH.  Dinnae panic  :D

Seem to remember you gave similar advice last year.  :D

Am no panicing, ah just wanted an excuse to bump the thread ;):P

Edit: I would actually be pleased with the numbers I have got, but the more the merrier, I know they will come out of the woodwork in due course.

I think the UK has came up trumps for the CITO this year? As we have now got 4 CITO events organised throughout the UK for April, 3 of which are being held on the 22nd April, which is the International CITO Day.

A big pat on the back for the UK cachers I think?

I agree! I wonder if any more will appear? There is plenty of time to arrange a few more before April 22nd <_<

Sorry Mid July for North Wales Third annual CITO Event (same time period as the first 2) with the possibility of a second and another annual CITO Event in October :P

Trotters Independent ‘Auto’ Traders will open a few days before the event.

Hopefully FoF will be able to sort something out as well?

Eh?? :P What does that mean?

Think of our last conversation in the pub, if the penny hasn't dropped then you will just have to wait until the showroom opens!! :(;)

Only thing I can think of is that GForce and Longfram Kev are going to progress from removing supermarket trolleys out of the water, to removing old cars?!

Wait a minute... something is beginning to come back to me... ah yes......! Think I know what you are talking about now!

Thanks Dave,

31 people is a good number, as the conservation trust said that 10 people is worth arranging a clean up with. I think they will be extremely pleased with such a large turn out? :(:)

Bump...

I'm sure a few more will either sign up before or even turn up on the day. :)

Better bring some more rubber gloves... :)

Cheers

Whats the cache like on the wee Island out in the Forth?

I'd earmarked that as one to do whilst up there.

Cheers

Dave

I've adopted that cache, so I am a bit biased. Make sure you have got the tide times right and you'll have an enjoyable walk along the causeway. I like it, even before I adopted it. There are also several caches nearby that can all be done from the same parking location.

Remember to look at my bookmark list Edinburgh Caches by Car, every single Edinburgh cache with free parking is on that list.

A Health & Safety Risk Assessment has been carried out by myself and the Conservation Trust, It has been added to the event page.

Although most things are fairly common sense and shouldn't cause any problems, can I ask people to read it before arriving on the day.

Many thanks

HH

Read it (Bump)

BUMP

We've all read it also..

Less than a week to go, can't wait!

Hope it's dry at least.

Cheers

All I need to do is work out a route to get to the car park.

The meeting and parking location is going to be at N55° 56.023 W003° 15.116 the ONLY vehicle access to this car park is by Stenhouse Crescent/Ford’s Road at N55° 55.878 W003° 15.389.

There is another route in, but I thought I would simplify it by just giving the one set of directions. This is also the way out for getting to the pub afterwards, most important to know that.

Bump..

Setting out tomorrow morning, just to make sure we are there in time! :)

See you all on Saturday.

Cheers

Dave

The 4 event caches aren't being listed until tomorrow, better visit a computer before Saturday, or I could always give you the co-ords in the pub.

Laptop and PDA are WiFi'd up, our hotel is a "Hotspot" available to me on my existing subscription :) so no problems there.

Cheers

Dave
