Nice birthday present, Come on luv, let's go up to Edinburgh for a dirty weekend! Oooh, what a great idea. Yep, make sure the wellies are in the suitcase, don't want your feet gettin wet in the water do we? I'm not wearing wellies in the bath, what sort of fantasy is this? No no luv, we're gonna get dirty cleanin up The Water of Leith!! Quote Link to comment
alistair_uk
I would love to come, but two full on trips to Edinbrough within three months might be a bit much. I will see if I can get a cheapo train ticket when they are available and come up for the day. We must go to the pub afterwards though, that is a given . Quote Link to comment

+Haggis Hunter
For insurance reasons, I have to register the event under a name, last year the Forester registered under 'The Geocache Group', I particularly don't think this is very interesting, as we will also get a mention on the Conservation Trusts webpage. Link here, we are third from the end on the list. So what is required is a simple name that I can register under, but gives us an identity that will be recognisable when mentioned on their website. Suggestions please everyone! Don't worry about the insurance part, it's all covered within the arrangements. Quote Link to comment

+Haggis Hunter
That will be good Greg, but I am hoping that enough will be supplied, but having spares won't do any harm. Quote Link to comment
+Haggis Hunter
I think the UK has came up trumps for the CITO this year? As we have now got 4 CITO events organised throughout the UK for April, 3 of which are being held on the 22nd April, which is the International CITO Day. A big pat on the back for the UK cachers I think? Quote Link to comment

+Haggis Hunter
Whats the cache like on the wee Island out in the Forth? I'd earmarked that as one to do whilst up there. Cheers Dave I've adopted that cache, so I am a bit biased. Make sure you have got the tide times right and you'll have an enjoyable walk along the causeway. I like it, even before I adopted it. There are also several caches nearby that can all be done from the same parking location. Remember to look at my bookmark list Edinburgh Caches by Car, every single Edinburgh cache with free parking is on that list. Quote Link to comment

+Haggis Hunter
All I need to do is work out a route to get to the car park. The meeting and parking location is going to be at N55° 56.023 W003° 15.116 the ONLY vehicle access to this car park is by Stenhouse Crescent/Ford’s Road at N55° 55.878 W003° 15.389. There is another route in, but I thought I would simplify it by just giving the one set of directions. This is also the way out for getting to the pub afterwards, most important to know that.
