+Ladycacher
What is the oldest (still traveling) travel bug? What is the most miles traveled (and still traveling) bug? Quote Link to comment
hide & seekers
I have one in my possession right now that was released 12/30/2001 and has logged over 22,000 miles. I bet there's others out there that can beat that though. Jack Burton. . . ME! Quote Link to comment

+usyoopers
Did a check of our travelers..... Most miles and still traveling is TB2QAF3. It was released 2/14/09, has logged 70,237.6 miles, it was last logged 7/31/19. Longest still traveling would be TBZ5KY. It was released in July 2006, its last log was on 7/13/19. However, most of our travelers are long gone...... Quote Link to comment
+angelsunshine
Hold your hats folks. My most traveled is TB is Starting Line, the end of the "starting line" stick from car rally. Released 2/29/12 TB48GKB as of today 2752919.5 Miles This is an actual TB not a virtual. HQ says its in top 10, but haven't a good way to "scrub" virtual TB's from list. 1 1 Quote Link to comment

+Aceey
Over 2 million miles is outstanding. I know I have picked up a couple that had traveled around the world which was pretty cool to imagine some of the people who had that travel bug in there possession at one time. I wish Ground Speak would let us add favorite points to travel bugs & trackable's like they do for geocaches. I think there would be some pretty amazing trackable's circulating through out the game if geocachers could get some sort of recognition for their work. Aceey Quote Link to comment

We've seen enough fakers to realize it's already all about recognition. Whenever stats are involved in any game, there's cheats. I don't think these guys that hold on to another's property for years, using it as their own private mileage tracker, should be "rewarded" for their nonsense. 2 Quote Link to comment
Rossland Rider
Mine was released in 2010, currently 19,709 miles and 13 countries. I still enjoy getting the notifications when it moves. Let's hope it keeps travelling 1 Quote Link to comment
+stites1
I was just looking to see if I could find the oldest or longest traveled bug. my Oak island Geohound was released in 2007 and has logged over 33,000 miles. He started on the US East coast (NC) and has been to Alaska and back to the US, totally coincidentally stopped a few hundred yards from my parents' house in PA, took a Baltic cruise, and is now boppong around Switzerland and Germany. I love getting updates :-) 1 Quote Link to comment
+Isonzo Karst
My New Mexico geocoin was released Nov 9 2005. Still alive. Not especially high mileage, but the survival on this thing has been remarkable. 1 1 Quote Link to comment
Timfy
Thought I might resurrect this thread... Our travel bug, the lucky Irish hug hog, was released in Aug 2006 and had crossed the Atlantic for the first time today. It has covered 32,596.6 miles so far and is still rewarding us with photos from those that find him! It has racked up 1,449 log entries! Edited August 9, 2021 by Timfy Quote Link to comment
+24carpediem
Our B&B bug (TB6FMO) has travelled 28,779 miles, since 2014, through over a dozen countries and has had 889 logs. Quote Link to comment
+cobraleader312
I have a TB tattoo on my leg that has traveled 87,917 miles. My daughter has lived in Texas, California, Kansas, New York, and Boston. All of my miles are legit, I have traveled to everywhere she's lived multiple times, and cached in them all. 1 Quote Link to comment
+Goldenwattle
I have just released a trackable from 2005. Not the original jeep though. TBM4F7 ▼ White Jeep Travel Bug "Bemeere" Bumping down the road. It needs to be 4WD to get over the gravel. 1 Quote Link to comment
+Goldenwattle
Not as old as my previous example, but this TB was released in 2011, but then soon after went missing. Today, I found it, ten years since it was marked missing. I have found TBs that were missing for a few years, before, but this is a new record for me. It went missing in Canada. I found it in Australia, a long way away. TB488XT 1 Quote Link to comment
