+Team Tigger International
Ok, I'm thinking of putting up an event cache for April 16. Meet at a local restaurant, put faces to names and if anyone wants to team up, clear out our to do list a caches. Once we have some idea if anyone's coming , we'll get it setup. +Team Tigger International
Ok, this isn't looking good. I think one big problem is that the majority of the cachers around here don't read the forums much. Is it worth it to list the event and see if anyone posts a note or should we just let it drop? +The Blue Quasar
If you post it, they will come. Like you said "If they don't read the forums, how will they know?" If it is an official Event Cache, then you will be able to judge interest by the number that sign up. Even if you have 10 people, it will be fun. +hamgran
Well, I obviously don't read the forums much, 'cause I just now noticed your topic, Tigger! Yes, I'd be interested, with PumpkinOneA. Unfortunately, I'm working a lot of mandatory OT right now and a lot of dates don't work for me (including the April 16 one) but if work schedules permit me to make it to any future event caches you might have, I'll be there! - hamgran (Ingersoll, Ontario) Quote Link to comment
+Team Tigger International
April 16 is also CITO day, but unfortunately it's the same weekend I get to see my lovely Star, so we figured we'd try to get the locals to gather in one spot. If this one goes well, we'll try to do annually. Wulf Quote Link to comment
+GAM-BAM
Hi, we are new geocachers and would be very interested in getting together with others. We need to learn all we can. Please contact us if this event materializes as we can make it. GAM-BAM Quote Link to comment
+DNStephens
I'd go to an event that day too. Sounds like fun and a chance to meet some GeoCache friends from the Windsor area, and only 2 hours or so from Woodstock. Quote Link to comment

+Riverside
Does anyone near Windsor know of where to get some Ammo Boxes? Quote Link to comment
+Hard Oiler
Not too close to Windsor but I always slip across the border and pick them up from a surplus store here near Port Huron, Michigan. Around US$3 and never had a problem bringing them back across the border. Check with one of your local Michigan cachers for a store near you. Quote Link to comment
+Team Tigger International
We sometimes get them from a place on Telegraph just south of Ford. Or sometimes we'll get them at the place on Michigan Ave in Wayne. Or you could got to forest City Surplus in London and get them for about $12. http://www.fcsurplus.ca/shopping/shopdispl...t=Military+Gear Wulf Quote Link to comment
+Riverside
This event is this weekend !! Check out the new location. This event is being held by Team Tigger International. If it is anything like their multi-cache "Oh Bother", we are in for a treat !! Can't wait to see what they come up with. Quote Link to comment
+Team Tigger International
No promises on the event, but if you liked Oh Bother! you'll love our new ones. *insert evil laugh* Wulf Quote Link to comment

+Team Tigger International
Thanks again to everyone who came out to our event. Congratulations to kgeek for FTF on Pot of Gold, Riverside's FTF on 6 Degrees and saf47 for being the lucky one to finally find Lest We Forget. There was some talk about the upcoming Geobash in Ohio, so I figured I'd post the link here in case anyone wanted it. Midwest Geobash Wulf Quote Link to comment
+Riverside
got a great idea for a new cache from a surveyor the other day. Just wondering if I should save it for an event though. Does anyone have anything planned for the fall ? Kgeek ? Tigger ? Anyone else in Windsor-Essex ? Quote Link to comment
+Team Tigger International
Earliest we can do is Thanksgiving weekend if Star wants to be there. She only comes this way in the cold months and go down to there in the warm weather. Might be able to try to get something setup for end of October if there's interest. Anyone else got a plan? +Riverside
"Lest We Forget" has been interesting to watch this week. I am sure "Pot of Gold" will be amusing too in the future. I guess the 8 of us at the event can laugh a little at the pain we all went through, all of us searching for that hour or was it more ? What aches me is that Young Riverside and I had found a similar cache in a similar location not 2 weeks prior as part of a multi stage but neither of us remembered to think "Outside the Box". +Othum
I cant figure out this one "Pot of Gold", first it took forever to find the card, now I'm stumped! Please help! the clue isnt setting off any bells either....lol Edited May 16, 2005 by Othum Quote Link to comment

+Riverside
Congratulations to Young Riverside !! He found his 50th cache yesterday. It was among one of 13 for the day. He also got a FTF for the Wolcott Dam cache and found Son of Cyclops mini ammo can at the Wolcott Mills Metro Park geocaching event yesterday. Great job !! Quote Link to comment

+Team Tigger International
If someone said they were coming to Essex county, what 3 caches would you tell them they must hunt? (Let's pretend that time or distance aren't an issue) Wulf Quote Link to comment
Wailing Moosehead
1: Oh Bother! (and I'm not just kissing up -- it was great!) 2: Riverside Rocks -- a pleasing multi that doesn't take forever, forgiving terrain, with just enough of a twist to make it interesting. 3: Above the Trees. Sure, I'm still relatively new to this whole Geocaching thing, and maybe it's not as unique as I think, but the hiding place for this one was worth the effort on a frigid day last winter. +Team Tigger International
The fall geomeet is in the early planning stage. This would be a good time for anyone who's interested to make your suggestions. We're looking at a Saturday in October (puts it 6 months after the spring meet). Wulf Quote Link to comment

+Othum
My three favs for Essex county are, and in no particular order: Riverside Rocks, this is a great cache to introduce new cachers too. Wreck Walk....an awesome history lesson while havinfg fun.. Six degrees of frustration...makes you think As for the fall geomeet I'm looking forward to working with TTI and others to really showcase this area, I was thinking on the lines of at least 10 new caches to be released on the day of the event, I think that between all the area cachers we can have some very interesting caches thought out by then. If you plan on putting one out let TTI know so we can coordinate them. Quote Link to comment

+Team Tigger International
Ok, we've got 5 Saturdays in October. October 1 is out, it conflicts with the Migo Fall event. October 8 is the holiday weekend, but alot of ppl will prolly want to spend time with their families. So we're down to 3 dates, 15, 22 and 29. It would be great if we could this event listed early so everyone has a chance to find out about it. Wulf Quote Link to comment
cache lizzy cache
I'm cool with the 22nd as well. I've talked to a few of the Chatham cachers and the holiday weekend presents a problem for them too. Quote Link to comment
