Logging Finds

Well D  ne on you're 100th TB30.

I've logged 2 finds today (I know that's not many for 1 day) I didn't have any problems logging either of them. As FoF says Sunday is a bad day for logging finds due to the amount of people logging on at the same time.

I've just tried to log my 100th and for some reason whenever i try to log it on geocaching.com,the page just times out! is anyone else having problems?

Yeah it's us. We're fed up with being overtaken so I bunged some American bloke a fiver (apparently now worth about $100) and he hacked the site, stopping people logging finds!!

I always write my cache find writeup in Notepad as a backup before trying to put it on the cache page. These database/sql problems are becoming all too frequent (and no, not just at the weekends), and there's also a timeout on the log, if you exceed it, your writeup is gone.

Well done TB30!

Yep, we have similar problems on Sunday afternoons and evenings. I also tend to use notepad to compose logs etc. Then cut and paste them in. It's certainly a good plan when you are trying to set up a new cache as that can be a little time consuming.

Hi Nick!

Sara & I are intending to place a couple of new caches pretty soon. One of them will be on Dava Moor, but the other may be on Cairngorm somewhere. It just depends on the weather!!
