+TEAM 360 Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 Rule #1- DON'T stare at the GPS screen while driving to the cache! Yes, that's me in the hat, with a few friends, at the scene of this accident...OOPS! Quote
+Team Flashncache Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 Ouch!!! That looks like it was pretty high on the old "Suck-o-Meter"; I take it you're alright, though. Yep, it pays to be careful out there! Quote
+Renegade Knight Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 You look like you still had some party left in you after that. Quote

BTW, Glad that you weren't hurt Looks like they drove off the end of a ramp used for loading railroad cars. 20' to either side and they would of hit tracks and not had anywhere near the problem. That's just my WAG. Too bad you can submit that as a locationless... Edited July 1, 2004 by Renegade Knight Quote

You got it! We thought it was a shortcut, not a loading ramp...it was late, and we couldn't see too well... Before we went over Niagara Falls there, my last word was "STOP!"...LOL! I hit the dash so hard my hat ended up on the back window deck.... We were all okay, though...what a ride! Quote
+Riddlers Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 But you weren't shaken up too much to remember to get a picture for us to see. Thanks. Quote
+Boot Group Posted July 2, 2004 Posted July 2, 2004 Caption for Picture: Cachers happy that they were only 17 feet from find. Found without incident, and are now celebrating their 25th find a week later while on mountain bikes. Cache in good shape, TNLNSL. Quote
+Team GPSaxophone Posted July 2, 2004 Posted July 2, 2004 It's a good thing you weren't on your way to maintain the cache you placed in New Mexico...someone might use it as proof that you would have a hard time maintaining the cache Quote
+lostinjersey Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 I cant let my wife see this thread. I may never be allowed to put my garmin V in the car again! Glad to hear everyone is ok after that incident. Quote
+PandyBat Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 How did the wrecker guys get the car off of there? Was this on active railroad tracks? Bet this incident cost you a pretty penny....lol Glad you weren't hurt! Quote
