+DevilDogs
From reading a lot of forums, and meeting a few people out while geocaching, I have come to the conclusion that mostly older, (30 and up) people do this. Me and my best friend do this together. We participated on a daily basis until we joined the Marines. Now it is hard to do it since we are going through a lot of training. Once we settle down, we will be able to start playing activily again. We and 18 and 19 years old. I was wondering, are there any other younger people who participate in this sport and if so, i would like to know. Thanks Devil Dog Bennett Quote Link to comment
+GatoRx
I guess by most peoples' definition, I'm still young at 23. I know there are a few other college-age people doing this, so don't worry, you're not the only one. ---- When in doubt, poke it with a stick. Quote Link to comment

+Mopar
I date women still in their 20's! PS. Devil Dogs, there is another interesting thread you might like over HERE. Tae-Kwon-Leap is not a path to a door, but a road leading forever towards the horizon. Quote Link to comment
+carleenp
I was thinking about placing that same Markwell! As for age, I think there is quite a variety of ages that are interested in this. Quote Link to comment
+MountainMudbug
I think I just grew a wrinkle reading this thread - I'll be 28 this summer. ______________________________________________________________________ Remember that happiness is a way of travel, not a destination. - Roy M. WolfPack2099
I have taken my 11, 12, and 13 year old Girl Scouts on several "hunts", and they LOVE it! I think that geocaching is a great activity to get young people involved in. Not only does it teach them about using a GPS, but it also teaches them to appreciate the outdoors. Plus it gets them away from the TV!! Bring young cachers along with you! Maybe we'll inspire a whole new generation of geocachers! Quote Link to comment
+Lazyboy & Mitey Mite
The Mailleboy is 6 months old and has been caching for 6 months. He has 18 finds and 6 TB's but no hides yet. I wish he'd get off his diaper and hide a cache. I hear voices.....and they don't like you! Quote Link to comment
+Rabid Bunny
Hey Bennett, drop me a line if ya could about Ancient Artery and my TB. Sorry to disrupt the thread but looks like a couple people already mentioned my other post. Feral Cacher Quote Link to comment

GRANDMASTER CACHE
The top finder when we go out as a family has been Paige - 10 years old. She has an uncanny ability to "find where it's hidden." For the real tricky ones, I've got to give credit to Krissy. She found Optima, and although I was right on top of it, I would never have guessed. Our little guy, the sole passenger in the infamous "Mr. Bink's Buggy" goes, but at 2 years old he hasn't expressed a desire to. The girls want to go and either place or seek - every weekend. If you hide it, they will come. Grandmaster Cache Quote Link to comment

+jeff35080
My kids, son 11 years-old and daughter 8-years old, go Geocaching with me and also help me make and hide my caches. They really enjoy it! Jeff http://www.StarsFellOnAlabama.com http://www.NotAChance.com If you hide it, they will come.... Quote Link to comment
GRANDMASTER CACHE
how important it is to not remove caches, and if they do, to return them to the owners. If you hide it, they will come. Grandmaster Cache Quote Link to comment
+rayt333
I was in the Marines in my younger days and one thing a true Marine has is honor, so if you are a Marine then show us some honor, return the missing caches and travel bugs. Once a Marine, always a Marine. Once a thief, always a thief. Which one are you? semper fi. Quote Link to comment
+nathanstl
I'm 23 and my girlfriend is 20 and we love the sport. nathanstl Quote Link to comment
Coast Guard Jerk
I'm 25, and in the Coast Guard. Your post brings up a more interesting issue. A lot of geocachers seem to be militarily-related. I think it's pretty natural, the thinking-mans hunting game, we're all in very good shape, and we have all had field excercises. Gotta love it or we wouldn't do this, huh? Support your local jerk. +Seattle Seekers
After all, according to the first post in this thread you are off at training and couldnt rehide it right now if you wanted to. However, a simple email letting the hider know you have good intentions would be a big step. Quote Link to comment
+Newenglandah
I think i'm in this game for life! See you in the woods! Natureboy1376 Quote Link to comment
+Wander Lost
Lost One is 5 and he loves to cache. Lil' Lost One is only 13 months so he doesn't have a choice in the matter. I do have a theory about why the little kids are better finders than us bigger kids. They are closer to the ground. If ignorance is bliss, why aren't there more happy people?? Quote Link to comment
+altree
It is good to see young people in caching. I am a Antique Bottle collector and have seen just about all the clubs in Florida go by the wayside because the younger generation wasn't interested or us older members didn't get them interested. I hope that geocaching will be around time after i am gone to the great cache in the sky as they say. I think it will from the looks of it as its getting more popular each month. Keep up the good work everyone Altree (you will not starve with a p38 and a can of food) Quote Link to comment
+CWL
I'm 25 and have been caching for about 6-7 months now. I guess spending the money on the GPSr is another thing that might be limiting some people from playing. So far I've already gotten my 2nd GPSr (Magellan Meridian Color) Quote Link to comment
+Lazyboy & Mitey Mite
Actually some of the boys on the highschool basketball team I coach want to go geocaching with me. I told them we could go out and hide a cache as a team and then I let them try to find one of mine. Soon as the seasons ends we'll do exactly that. I hear voices.....and they don't like you!
