Search by post code

For some reason when I search for geocaches within a radius on a post code its coming up "ynable to determin my location" I was trying PL20 6EG and within 10 miles say. I tried it with and without the space in the postcode.

Interesting.

 

Usually putting PL20 6EG, UK gets a result.

This one doesn't!

 

Best suggestion is to use the place name, and add , UK after it.

I just tried a few postcodes which have worked in the past and I'l getting the same, looks like somethings broke.

Can not search by town close to home either Used to work but now it doesn't. Tried some other towns I used to search for and some work and some don't. Hope they get this fixed as it is a real pain to search several miles away and then have to move map to where I want to be. Seems like the maps just keep getting more and more useless.

Thx for replies it is now working again. I did pl20 6eg within 10 miles and all good again.

Okay when I say it's working, well not properly. It works on my Iphone but not on my computer through internet explorer or safari hmmmm

I've been getting the same problem and it seems to have been for several weeks and even if I open GC via Google Chrome rather than IE it still won't allow me to search by postcode.

 

Is there a way around this or should I contact GC??

You're not the only one.

 

It doesn't accept ML12 6SQ, ML12 6RT and several others.

Some postcodes work, others don't.

Same problem with me, whenever I put in a postcode to search for a cache in an area I will be visiting in the next few weeks, it tells me cannot find postcode, postcode correct though.
