Favourite or Funniest Cache Names

Recommended Posts

Caches can be great or rubbish, as we know, but the thought that goes into the listing for even a dodgy hide can be brilliant. One of my favourite things is finding (or hiding!) one with a clever, funny or otherwise memorable-for-good-reasons name. Do you have one or more which makes you smile? Nothing that's only funny/clever once you've found the cache please - we don't want any spoilers :)

OK... I just looked through our cache finds to see what I could find.

I haven't found any rip-roaringly hilarious cache names but some I enjoyed are

Piglet's ill, but Winnie's well

Virtuous but "poore and inconsiderable"

We come in piece

Can I see Uranus?

The BIGGEST curler in Perth

Elvis lives! - "Wooden Art"

Well choughed

The end (and more) is in sight

There are quite a few cache titles where you don't get the joke until you actually visit the cache location and the name itself is not particularly funny.

We have found a few with funny names:

P in the bed, York

Don't tell him your name turnpike

"Can"ny seat but nee where to sit!!

IT'S NOT TERRY'S, IT'S MINE

LOO (N.Yorks)

A lot of the ones we tend to remember are funny when you find the cache and realise what the title means!

BigLad&Co has a series near me that's set around the village of Wreay (pronounced REAR), and the last one is aptly named "Wreay End"

After having alook through our finds there's quite a few whose names make sense once at GZ but very few whose names are amusing it their own right

Some of the names of the caches on Rodz's WTF series are totally whacky eg: GC17PK4 and GC17PK4

:)

....... I can't believe I'm the only person to snigger at a cache name .......

Sexy Muckle Flugga (Herma Ness, Unst, Shetland)

I've planned a trip to Shetland for May and this is a cache that I'm planning on attempting. I have already discovered that I need to be very carefull not to get my consonants mixed up when discussing my plans!
