River Cacher Memorial Coin

Hi kids -

I would like to get an idea of interest in a River Cacher Memorial Coin. Trying to decide how many to get made.

All profits would go to his family, the suggested recipients listed in his obituary.

Groundspeak has donated the cost of the icon.

We welcome any comments...

Totally, put me down for 10.

Would it be possible to put a hole in the design so we can send them out as travelers? Just a thought.

Good job...I was wondering when someone was going to do a memorial coin for him. I would like to have at least one, so I can start it out on a journey in one of River Cacher's caches or one of several memorial caches done for him in Idaho.

interesed in a coin, but first, did his family approve the coin?

Thank you for asking this.

I am trying to get messages to his brothers, but haven't gotten through yet. It is a priority. They know Geocaching and coining well and are hoping to put a cache in the cemetery in a month or so.

I'm very proud that i met Mike on GCF Twin Cities last year.

I'm very unhappy now.

For Mike's Memories i take 5 geocoins of course.

Thanks

I saw that you are FB friends with Jon Wilkins, I think he is a good place to initiate contact, since he is closer to the family and can put people in touch or not as the situation merits.

I have already e-mailed John.

Lori is going to speak with Tom and Bill.

I never met River Cacher or wrote emails with him but from all I read about him he must have been a very nice person. When I read in the threads about him I often had tears in my eyes.

So I will definitely buy one of these coins.

I am Jon Wilkins and the family is very happy that the Geo Community is doing this. I would like to give Toojin and Lori Darlin a big HUGGERZ for making this happen! Thank you all......
