RedShoesGirl
any possibility some of the enamels can be translucent? Quote Link to comment
+River Drango
Heck Yeah! Translucent Enamels would ROCK!!!! Quote Link to comment
+Toojin
any possibility some of the enamels can be translucent? I don't know. That is under discussion, and / or the possibility of glitter because Mike liked glitter. Maybe some on the tiki side. Like how about glitter on the lei or the torches? The deal with translucent is if we do black nickel translucent doesn't really work does it? I don't know what metal is in the works... We are coordinating this whole thing via e-mail in 5 busy lives, so sometimes there are pauses.... Quote Link to comment
+anne.and.eli
As long as you aren't doing 3D (which you aren't) and imitation hard enamels (not soft enamels) translucents work fine with black nickel. You can double check with the mint, but many (all?) of them do black nickel plating after IHE if it's not 3D. I'd guess it has something to do with the stoning process. Here is one side of the black nickel sampler coin; as you can see, the colors are not muddied at all. Edited March 8, 2011 by anne.and.eli Quote Link to comment

+WRITE SHOP ROBERT
Looking good...is this final? Would the hole look better on the opposite side, then it would not interfere with any elements if the design. It would be to the left of the Tiki, and the right of the dates. If needed, the bank of the river could be slightly adjusted to make the entire punchout fall within the sandy area, instead of half in the river. +CCWelch
I like the changes with the transparent but Mike also liked glitter for some of his works...anyway that glitter could be incorporated into the translucent design, maybe to the torch flames to make them "come to life"? Quote Link to comment
