clartydug
This morning I was out and found a couple of caches in the Irvine area (Ayrshire). Whne I went online to record my find, one of them was missing from the list (GC1CHVY) Would it have been removed from the list for some reason? +BCNorwich
Hello There, It's not published yet that's the reason it's not showing. It may have been published by mistake then pulled back, that's the only reason I can think of for you to have seen it. Regards Bernard Quote Link to comment

The code GC1CHVY either doesn't exist or has not yet been published. This means that either you made a mistake on the GC number or else the cache has been 'unpublished', which I think (but I'm not sure) can sometimes happen if there is a problem with the cache (such as the cache being published too early, or by mistake). +clartydug
Sorry, got the code wrong. It should be GC1CHYV. The name of the cache is 'Boyd's ATMS' Date given is 24/05/2008 Quote Link to comment
Delta68
That's a bloomin' old code though! GC1C*** codes are from around May 2008. They sometimes get withdrawn if there are serious permission problems (minor problems would just get archived but still remain visible) Mark Quote Link to comment
mongoose39uk
It has been archived but I can still see it The cache Quote Link to comment
clartydug
Thanks for that. Must have been archived in the last few days. Quote Link to comment
Gushoneybun
Thanks for that. Must have been archived in the last few days. Archived on 15th August Quote Link to comment
Stokesy
Thanks for that. Must have been archived in the last few days. Archived on 15th August Archived, but not removed, fair game to log a find in my book. Doesn't give any reason for the archiving either. Quote Link to comment
HazelS
Yeah - log it... you found it, you signed the log, therefore you can log! Quote Link to comment
currykev
I've had cachers log my archived caches. I've no problem with that at all. There may even be cachers who log multiple archived caches. Thats up to them . Quote Link to comment
maxkim
If theres an issue a cache can be locked to prevent further logs being added... reverse caches are an example asit the old virt at the top of the Eiffel Tower. Just ask for it to be done. Quote Link to comment
