Are you talking about placing a cache or finding your first? Quote

+Geo.Kitten Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 ello and welcome to this addiction we call geocaching but really its just a mad bunch running around looking for tupperwears! I think if you have a look people meet up already but why not start with a little mini pub meet give some time in advance and then go from there Quote

+Stokesy Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 And of course we already have the Brummie Meet, you've missed the first one, the next is in November (no date yet), so maybe you could come along to that and introduce yourself....unless of course you want to take on the role of organiser..... Quote
+UKCacheMag Posted September 8, 2008 Author Posted September 8, 2008 I think i will try and sort something out for Novemer then...There is an ideal location very near me with a big camping and outdoors shop that are open late, a good pub, a big open filed and a big wood all witihn a very short walk of each other. (Coventry not Brum , but only a couple of minutes away from A45) This would perhaps give me time to learn about siting cach's and have found some by then. Perhaps one Sunday afternoon? If anybody knows of any other Coventry based people......would be good to have some company as I trundle around the local cach's Adam Quote
+UKCacheMag Posted September 8, 2008 Author Posted September 8, 2008 oh btw , have set up a West Midlands geocaching thing on facebook if anybody wants to join....good to put names to faces. Quote
bikermel76 Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Wow looks like the gang beat me to the CacheWalker plugs! We're also considering a less strenuous monthly meet, with the focus on gassing and drinking rather than climbing Bloomin Hills!!! Unlikely to be as far north as West Midlands, but we will shift it around the catchment area a bit. Quote

+Delta68 Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Well done on finding your first cache!! After months of talking about it we have finally got around to organising an event, why not put it in your diary and come along, here's the link: 'link' It's situated near to the M42 so easy to get to from all areas of the Midlands.
