scavok Posted May 1, 2009 Author Posted May 1, 2009 Just a teaser to anyone interested (sorry!) You all are going to flip when you see the tengwars coming in a few months Its a serendipitous finish from another coin project I did that I'm going to try and apply to the tengwar. Who knows, maybe they'll just end up a goofy just-for-fun version in the end, but they look dang good in my head. Waiting for samples... Quote
AtlantaGal Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Shouldn't the reorder be coming in any day now? Quote

mysts99 Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 I'm so excited and I just can't hide it!!!!!!!!!! I will be watching the mail box. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
scavok Posted May 20, 2009 Author Posted May 20, 2009 I set a new personal record at the post office today, there was a line 30 people long behind me and all the workers came over to watch the lucky teller hit the total button All but 5 or 6 orders have been mailed (various reasons - they will be mailed out tomorrow). All the customers should receive a confirmation email in the next day or so as I go back through the mailing records and mark orders as shipped on my website. Its a little cumbersome, but it minimizes mistakes on my part All special orders and all trades have been mailed as well Sorry Oz, you were numero dos! Better luck next time In fact, for the first time in tengwar history for me, the aussies as a whole weren't the largest recipients of international orders. Portugal came up real big in my customs forms this time! International orders really tipped the scale all over. Its been 50:50 domestic:international on my coin sales so far, but today I'd say it was 35:65. Is that the norm for others? I'm happy with it now that I made an excel file to print out the customs forms anyway! Quote
Sunrayers Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Got home from the ASP Geobash (and a week of camping) and 1 of my orders was waiting for me. Just BEAUTIFUL, as always. Quote
scavok Posted May 23, 2009 Author Posted May 23, 2009 For some reason the tracking/activation codes for the lates tengwars are not yet updated into coincodes.com. I have submitted the request but with it being a holiday weekend I wouldn't get your hopes up for them in the next few days Quote
ST13PILOT Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 (edited) For some reason the tracking/activation codes for the lates tengwars are not yet updated into coincodes.com. I have submitted the request but with it being a holiday weekend I wouldn't get your hopes up for them in the next few days Thanks for the update. We're so happy to have these beautiful coins that waiting a few days to get activation codes isn't going to be a big deal. From the pictures I thought the purple on silver was going to be my favorite but I'm leaning toward the red on gold. Edited May 23, 2009 by ST13PILOT Quote
29HarvickFan Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I got my coins yesterday and I LOVE them! I wish that i wasn't so poor and could have afforded more. These may be my new favorite coins. They are so pretty. Quote

Mar-elendili Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 We got ours today. They look even better than on the pictures and it's always a pleasure to have a look at your Tengwar coins. Glad we ordered them! Thanks a lot! Quote

The Blorenges Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Two of the coins have just completed their journey and landed here on our doormat in south Wales U.K. and they're lovely - thank you! I had a particular reason for getting one of them: Our daughter (who is an "occasional" geocacher) has recently returned home after doing the student-travelling-around-the-world thing. While she was in Australia she got a tattoo done along the side of her foot - It reads "Not all who wander are lost" so I intend giving her one of these geocoins as a birthday present in a few weeks time. +scavok Posted May 28, 2009 Author Posted May 28, 2009 That is great, MrsB! I first came across the phrase while traveling as well. I was on my own, going through europe as a teenager, and some of the books I brought with me were Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. The first book is where the quote originates in a poem: ...All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost... I hope she likes the coin Two of the coins have just completed their journey and landed here on our doormat in south Wales U.K. and they're lovely - thank you!
