+Just Roger
See this thread in Geocaching anouncements. Firefox and Adblock plus cope with all the google ads so I never see any of them. If they are starting to put Yahoo ads on as well that will be an extra reason to use this browser. Quote Link to comment
+agentmancuso
It's not like we needed another reason. Quote Link to comment
+Birdman-of-liskatraz
Though if everyone uses Firefox and Adblock - won't that defeat the purpose of the ads? and no money to develop V2 Quote Link to comment
lakeuk
Strange - I don't use a ad-blocker (have my own mental blocker), but at the moment I'm not seeing any ads, just a thin blue bar with yahoo ad at the end Quote Link to comment
+SidAndBob
For those who love Firefox: Did you know that you can take Firefox with you when you're not at home? So if your employer insists on you using IE, for instance, you can run it from your clip drive with no install on the PC. Doesn't support Grease Monkey though. Quote Link to comment

Ayondin
Aah but my employer wont let you use your own flash drive, they have to be company bought ones and even then they're encrypted wont be here much longer anyway, anyone got a job for me? Quote Link to comment
Edgemaster
JFYI: Running applications off of flash may severely shorten the life of the drive. Quote Link to comment

Edgemaster
A greater number of read write cycles than when handling your documents etc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flash_storage#Weaknesses PortableApps probably does try to prevent this, but I'm still wary of running something as large as firefox off of mine.
