+Fuchsiamagic
I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I can't find the answer at the moment. I have noticed in some members profiles that there is a blue and yellow map of Britain showing which UK counties they have found caches in. How is this done? Link to comment
Love
Check out this website: http://www.world66.com/myworld66 You can pick out the region of the world you want to use and then select what countries/states you've found caches in. Then click on "Generate Map." This will provide you with the html code for your personal map. You'll then want to go to your profile in your geocaching.com account. Click on "edit your profile." At the bottom of the page in the field under "Your Profile Details" you'll want to paste the html code. Link to comment
+Stunod
Even easier, use ItsNotAboutTheNumbers.com. Very easy to use...just upload you MY FINDS PQ and the site crunches them and supplies the HTML to put in your profile. Link to comment
+Bambography
You can also place a map from geocacheuk.com in the profile. This appears to update automatically so saves updating the itsnotaboutthenumbers.com system. I do however prefer the ...notaboutnumbers... maps and would recommend that. Your choice! Link to comment
+Fuchsiamagic
Thanks folks. It's sorted. Link to comment
+Haggis Hunter
Put this onto your profile and it will make two seperate maps for the UK based on your ID. No requirement to update it's done automatically. <img src= "http://stats.guk2.com/pics/make_countymap.php?type=count&c=906651&flat=ffff00&found=1&unavail=Y" width="347" height="550" border="5"> <img src= "http://stats.geocacheuk.com/pics/make_mymap.php?c=906651" width="513" height="550" border="5"> Your profile details can be found on this useful UK site. +pppingme
just upload you MY FINDS PQ Wow... And even from a moderator... After it was clearly announced that sharing PQ's is NOT allowed by the terms of use agreement... Licensee shall not sell, rent, lease, sublicense, lend, assign, time-share, or transfer, in whole or in part, or provide access to the Data, Related Materials, any updates, or Licensee's rights under this Agreement to any third party whatsoever. How is that done? I tried saving it, loading it on two different photo sites but could not figure out how to get it linked onto my profile (I can make a link but can't get the actual picture there). +pppingme
From http://www.itsnotaboutthenumbers.com/ I suspect they don't count as a 3rd party. Its not you, and its not gc (Groundspeak, whatever you want to call them). How could this not be a 3rd party?? Maybe I'm not clear on this statement: to any third party whatsoever I see NO exception for this 3rd party website, regardless of that 3rd party's claim. This may or may not have been inline with the old agreement, but clearly not the new one. Link to comment
Keystone
Potato Finder, The "It's Not About the Numbers" site functions under a license agreement with Groundspeak. It's fine. Now please go away so that the rest of us can help the OP and others who want to read about cache map solutions for their profiles. Thanks. Link to comment
