Digital_Cowboy
Here's a question kind of inline with the "Signature Items, What special item do you leave in caches" thread. That is what is the most expensive treasure that you have either found in a cache or have considered leaving in a cache? Digital_Cowboy Quote Link to comment
+Chance Encounter
On two different occasions I have left Garmin eTrex Legend GPS units as FTF prizes in special competition-style caches, and I gave away a Magellan eXplorist 200 as a door prize at an event I hosted. Quote Link to comment
+Colorado Cacher
Left a complete unactivated set of TB tags inside Mr. Bonus (TB) when I set him loose. Quote Link to comment
+mbarb
I always try to leave a nice FTF prize in my caches, all two of them. The first one I put a pair of tickets to the Green Bay Packers Family Night. The cache is located very near the stadium so it seemed proper. The second cache had a set of new, not yet activated, travel bug tags. Quote Link to comment
+nooks
Consider what they could go for on ebay, I'd have to say a moun10bike coin Quote Link to comment
+jcar
On some milestones and very special caches I have left a 1oz silver dollar. On a couple very special milestones I have left a 1/10th of an ounce gold coin. Quote Link to comment

Shiraz-mataz
The most expensive item I've ever left in a cache was a ticket to an amusement park we visited while on vacation in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. It was worth a little over $25 I guess... You can read about it by clicking here. Quote Link to comment
Digital_Cowboy
I'd like to apologize for all of the repeated posts. I was using my PPC and even though more then 15 seconds had passed it kept telling me that I was trying to post within 15 seconds of my last post. Digital_Cowboy Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand
I once found a $30 gift certificate for a steak house. I have left $30 watches and twice older PDAs. Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
There was a new Garmin Geko 201 in a cache of mine. I once stocked my cache with an automobile road ice/outside temp sensor. It was about $40 and I received it as a give and had little use for it. Quote Link to comment
+Isonzo Karst
We hustled out after first to find on a bushwhacker's multi cache, in part because the FTF premium was a nice set of walkie talkies. I've given away hand carved hiking staffs, (purchased @ $40) and like briansnat, "regifted" an item of $50 value - just put it in an ammo can of mine for the next finder. I don't usually leave much of a FTF premium in my caches though. Just start them out with a pleasant adult oriented set of swag. Most items in the $2 range. By adult oriented I mean NOT plastic toys - carabineers, bungees, chamois, useful hiking stuff.... Edited December 26, 2006 by Isonzo Karst Quote Link to comment
+rusty_da_dog
Wow, from reading this thread it sounds like there really is gold in dem der hills...... Best I have ever left are unactivated Travel Bugs or Geocoins. Quote Link to comment
+welch
I think the most expensive thing I've seen would $20 bill (twice) and new unactived TB tags. They weren't FTF prizes, just things left for the next finder. Quote Link to comment

bogleman
I left a micrometer in one of my caches. These little buggers can really get up there in price, at least $90 NIB. Quote Link to comment
